GM_Tood
http://www.omaha.com/article/20101207/BIGRED/712079863/0 Notes: Osborne to remain A.D. for a while LINCOLN — NU Athletic Director Tom Osborne said Tuesday night that he plans to remain on the job at least until Nebraska has been fully integrated into the Big Ten and a few facility funding plans have been finalized. Osborne, 73, said on “Sports Nightly” on the Husker Sports Network that he may not be athletic director long enough to oversee the completion of projects such as Lincoln's new downtown arena or Memorial Stadium's east-side expansion. He does want to make sure fund-raising efforts are “in place” before he leaves the department. “I'm going full speed ahead on those things,” he said. Osborne has been A.D. since the fall of 2007. Chancellor Harvey Perlman said in June 2009 that Osborne's agreement to stay on as athletic director was indefinite and that he'd be evaluated annually. Quote Link to comment
