Fat Tire
Typically, when do they report to the University? (I know they are still in school, just asking how long after the school year ends, does it take for them to report and start summer workouts?) Quote Link to comment
Eric the Red
They can unofficially report when their high school classes are over. But I don't believe they can lift weights in the athletic center, but that I'm not sure about. They can run any kind of unofficial work outs on the field with any team members. They official come in early August or late July depending on when the first game is. I believe priority freshman get in a two or three days before the rest. My explanation is fuzzy at best. AR Husker Fan
Unless I'm mistaken, the NCAA changed things a few years ago and freshman no longer get to report a couple of days early. I remember a lot of coaches bitching about that - that the freshmen need those days just to get settled in and acclimated. Made sense to me - and I don't see why reporting a few days early for those reasons would hurt. Quote Link to comment
husker rob
as far as I know scholarship athletes and preferred walk-on report on the same day (2 weeks prior to school starting) and the rest cant start practicing until school starts. Quote Link to comment
