Defense still paramount

The strength of the team will continue to be the defense. There are a few

steadfast anchors and some new faces. One of them is Adam Carriker who

has been around a couple years but was slowed by injuries. Adam hopes

to dominate next season and according to the Lincoln Journal it appears

he will get a chance to do just that. The 6-6, 270 pound defensive end

is listed ahead of the talented pass rusher Wali Muhammad. Carriker's

tenacity and quickness have earned him a defensive tackle spot in the

nickel package that features four defensive ends across the line for

maximum pass rushing impact. Carriker was voted Lifter of The Year by

his teammates at the end of spring practice.

Who else do you think will arrive next season?

If there are any contributors it will be on defense because its gonna take a while for any of the new guys to learn the Offensive System.

The defense will have to hold every team to no more than 21 points for us to have a chance.

The offense has no playmakers. Some athletes yes, but no All Big 12 players except Incognito. Could get very frustrating at times this year.
