2025-2026 College Football Playoff

Politics in the college game will destroy the playoff potential and greatness of this game. I think that 12 teams might be too many, and maybe 8 is the right number.

Update:
This game is gonna go down to the wire.
Nailed it ... as usual

Chris Klieman had a better record at NDSU than Cignetti had at James Madison. He went .614 at K-State.

Folks, this ain't some magic recipe for success that your gigabrain has cracked but every AD in the country is oblivious to.
Here was my entire quote that you didn't use: You used the bolded only. I clearly had the rest, but it didn't give you the "gotcha" moment you were looking for or drive whatever agenda you seem to be pushing. I had mentioned Norvell and Napier as guys who had great success at the G5, but not near as much at the P4 level.

But he won everywhere he was at. His record speaks for itself. Riley Mr. 500, Rhule, well career .500...Cig approx .775. Indy took a chance on a lesser known winner. That's why I'd be all about trying that route. Get a dude from NDSU/SDSU (FCS) or G5 with a solid record.

But for every Cig story theres a Mike Norvell (.717% to slightly above .500 at FSU), or Billy Napier at almost .800 at the Cajuns and slighlty below .500 at UF.....Cig just had a career history of double theirs, but never know.

I'd swing at a guy like Matt Entz...NDSU HC .857 and .692 Fresno St (year 1) or .872 overall and 67-14 plus 2 NC's, was was also DC/LB on 4 NC teams as NDSU. This is the type of guy you go for and give him the NIL to get players. But that's jut me. Google him. He's a winner..

Right…and so would every other team in the country. But the number of guys that are like Jayden Daniels are super rare, so rare that it’s probably not worth putting any energy towards hoping for it.

Only have to wait 16 more days to know who our starter’s going to be for 2026.
Legit ones are like a Sasquatch riding a unicorn rare.....It'll be interesting to see who and how many guys we go after. I know Rhule mentioned mobile and Dana said best guys available. Unsure if we will get 2 "starters" to commit to possibly compete with TJ.

I think it was you who mentioned that had Dylan stayed, TJ would probably be back up so if he is, unsure how much that would make him want to look around. Take away Akron and HCU games he has a 57% completion rate (63/111 w/4 TD's) and rushed for 2 TD's and 103 yards on 29 carries). Unsure if those are good enough to have other schools knocking on his door. But who knows. I'd prefer he stays.

I was told here by someone else that it was “a fact” that Raiola was very replaceable.

Putting aside for the moment that I think that statement is debatable on multiple levels, if I was choosing who was MORE replaceable between the two of them, it’s absolutely TJ.

I’m not sure there’d even be any sun belt teams that would be falling all over themselves for TJ to be their starter in 2026.

If Lateef leaves we might have a problem at backup, but we can most likely pretty easily replace him if needed.

TL;DR: Lateef is pretty replaceable, and we need a QB considerably better than him as our starter for 2026.

Ole Miss had some terrible end of first half clock management.

Dropped passes.

It looks like Georgia will slowly pull away if Ole Miss keeps making mistakes.

A true freshman D lineman from Georgia juat stuffed a 4th down try by Ole Miss. Lots of freshmen playing championship level football today.
