I did think of that. But, what about run blocking? There’s more to a lineman than just pass protection….though that is very important.

I used to love the pancake stat Nebraska used to keep.

PFF also gives a run blocking grade.

Looks like we are losing Jamarion Parker

I could be misremembering this, but it sure seemed Rhule wasn't all that concerned about losing Dowdell & missing out on the Omaha kid that went to Miami because they had big expectations for Parker. Then he wasn't unavailable for much of spring & never got on track. I know there's attrition at every school, but man it sure seems like NU has more than their fair share of 4 star failures.

If I remember correctly Parker hurt his shoulder and thats why he didn't play and was out for the season.

Barthel is going to ride the success of EJ without ever actually doing a damn thing. There is mediocre talent & terrible development in that group. Remember when Ives was going to be a thing? Or that until Dana they didn't even realize EJ was good? Pepperidge Farms remembers.

I've been wondering how he still has a job. Have any of his recruits touched the field? I don't count Dowdell since he came from the portal. Emmet is the only good back he has had and EJ was fine before Barthel.

Its more about recruiting. Depth is all young.

Playing in a Bowl game does not effect redshirt eligibility.
