They have no clue what their clients value is. They have no idea what they should demand or accept & they lack the contacts to achieve this behind the scenes. When you combine that with unrealistic expectations set to land clients and the desire to prove value to clients & potential clients it produces a lot of self-serving advice.

Go it. As if lawyers needed more oceans to scavenge in.

I’m sure it will eventually right itself, but right now it’s like Texas in 1880.
