Anyone else annoyed?

Uh, no. Reading comprehension ftl, apparently.
Actually, he's spot on. You seem to not be saying what you intend to say (writing comprehension ftl?) or you're just really bad at conveying a point. I just read this thread and I got the same thing out of what you're writing. If that's not the message you intended to convey, you may want to try again.
Btw, you often have trouble with this kind of thing. No offense intended, you just do.
Except for the fact that you're the only person who feels that way, and the fact that people completely unrelated to me point out that you don't say what you mean as well... aside from that I completely agree.
Then please go on and explain to me how what I quoted does not say what I am claiming it says.
Why don't we get back to the thread and the topic at hand?

Bottom line is this, we beat Arizona and they never had a chance in that game. If you're on Arizona's side you're going to say you were unprepared. If you're on NU's side then we stomped them.

:yeah

When we get beat I basically say, "We got whupped and need to play better next time," I don't make excuses which I feel deminish the win for the other team. Arizona finished the season by beating USC on their home field. They got an opportunity to again show case their team to high school players in southern California when they were invited to play in the Holiday Bowl. They had every reason to play as good as they could, unfortunately they lost and were dominated by Nebraska. The Husker offence played its best game of the season and the SUH led Blackshirts performed as they did all season long. Nebraska's offence and defence dictated the game to Arizona. The Wildcats were only able to do what the Huskers let them do.

T_O_B

:bonez

At least they got dominated by a team that may have a shot at all the marbles next year. I would feel a lot worse if I was a Mizzou fan!!

Are there really Husker fans that are willing to help make excuses for that Wildcats a$$ whoopin?

Well for those fans I'll make this real simple. Nebraska was BY FAR the better team on Wensday, they are the better team today, and they will continue to be the better team tommorow, PERIOD!

Yeah, that was obvious. It still doesn't change my point nor address it at all.

I got the feeling from the UofA fans that I dealt with that if our fortunes had been reversed they would not be shy in letting us know about it. As it was . . . I waited for the trolley for about an hour after the game and the Nebraska fans were very docile. Little to no taunting. Not even much cheering. Just stoicism bordering on boredom. I think that if UofA had won I'd be tired of hearing "U!" "OF!" "A!"

The team that finished this season wasn't the team that began it. They grew throughout the year and ended it with a downright fearsome performance. Beautiful, wasn't it? It even stunned us as NU fans.

What point? That AU wasn't Fully prepared? Well no sh#t Sherlock! 33-0 made it pretty damn obvious they weren't ready to compete. So please oh please Ebyl, tell me you have more amazing insight that might help diminish the Huskers performance a little more, because I would just love to hear it! :sarcasm

Why bother? People aren't even capable of reading my posts right. Why preach to the retards?

And yeah, I'll take my warning for that.

What I found interesting was that Neb was in the "disappointed to be here" position and 'zona was in the "amped to be here" position, that is usually a recipe for the amped team to win the bowl. But Neb used the Texas game for motivation and and was the more prepared, determined team. Props to Bo and staff on getting the troops regrouped after a heartbreaker and producing our best game in several years.

I know that you enjoy being a contrarian, so I'll bite.

Let's see......I believe the point that you're attempting to make is that the Huskers should not have been able to dominate Arizona in the fashion that they did. That's as unprovable as me saying that if the Husker offense would have done the job it is capable of doing, they would have put up touchdowns instead of field goals and made the final score far worse than it was. We've just given two contrary and entirely unprovable opinions. Thus, your "point" is in fact......."pointless."

Nebraska just enjoyed a big win in dominating fashion on a national stage. Emotions are running high, and I think that there are people here that enjoy whacking the proverbial hornet's nest by making provocative posts, hoping to get an argument started. It is the conflict--not the comradery that they relish.

As far as the original topic is concerned, idiots are everywhere. The internet lets them come out in droves, because they can hide behind their anonymity. It is what it is, and I wouldn't let myself get upset by what some schmuck in AZ or anywhere else thinks.

Actually, I don't enjoy being contrary. But if I have an opinion that is contrary to the "mainstream" opinion, I don't let that stop me from voicing it if I feel like it.

This entire thing started with someone trying to claim I thought the NU victory was because Arizona didn't show up. All one has to do is read my initial post and have more than 2 active brain cells to see that's not at all what I was saying. I even quoted the relevant part later on. What more does anyone need? A board to the head?

And you're right, my point is unprovable. So what? So is 99% of the other sh#t that gets posted here. It's my opinion that had Arizona actually showed up, it would not have looked like the complete domination it was. They would have still lost and lost pretty badly...but being held to whatever ridiculous low yardage they were right up until their last drive? Probably not. That's ALL.

If academic discussion is going to be dismissed on this board now, then f#*k, we might as well shut it down. There won't be a single post put up once that rule starts.
