I will always stand on this for many reasons. Running back isn't just a position u can give a guy 3-4 carries a game and expect them to be great.

I like what i seen out of Nelson in the few carries he would get. I think he can be that guy that also gets better as the game goes on.

Mozee will always be flashy, prob good for 10-12 carries a game and one of those probably being a big gain. But I don't see him piling up the carries like EJ was able to.

I posted this a couple weeks ago in another thread. We do not know what we have behind EJ.

Mozee has 17 rushes, 10 receptions, 3 kick returns, 2 punt returns for the season. Nelson has 15 rushes, 5 receptions. Ives has 16 rushes, 3 receptions. JMO but not much of a chance to show anything.

Adding to that….Ives averaged over 7 yards a carry while Mozee and Nelson were at 4.5 ypc. With Mozee average 10.8 yrds per reception. Not terrible production with the limited reps.
 
Dylan was active on social media this evening. I’m sure it’s not him, but still. The posts had pretty much stopped for awhile. Maybe he got paid today?

I think that was kind of Rhule's point. He doesn't want to speak on behalf of the individual players and should there be transfer news, he wants the individual to reveal if or when they're ready in the format of their choosing. So far, Dylan has not said or done anything specific that indicates that he intends to leave.
 
You gotta wonder and even assume Rhule had a conversation with Dylan about firing his uncle. First hunch is that if Dylan was in anyway leaning towards the portal, the discrediting of the family name would push him farther -- especially if we're buying that Uncle Don was retained only to secure Dylan.

But you never know.

Still, seems pretty naive to think Dylan will stay. When the two brothers scrub their social media of Nebraska, it's not nothing.

The game itself is probably meaningless outside of getting to see some reps from QB, RB’s etc, but that’s the same for every non playoff bowl game.

What could be meaningful is allowing our new Oline coach and D coordinator see players in practice settings to get their own eyeballs on who can contribute next year and what portal additions are needed based on that.

Dayton's social media changed but Dylan's has not. It's a bunch of media speculation driving clicks from the Nebraska fan base. Maybe he leaves here but there isn't any smoking gun out there indicating he will that I have seen.
