Yes, I forgot about that part of it. But he sure performed well on the field against us.Trade in one helicopter parent for another helicopter parent. Pass.

I happen to agree with you. My only hope would be his family was humbled after their epic failure.Yes, I forgot about that part of it. But he sure performed well on the field against us.
It would be nice to get Nico from UCLA if he decides to transfer. He would be a game changer for us.
The guy is elite and is an instant upgrade.
I for one cannot believe DR has not put out the possible transfer rumors. Certainly he is aware.
So if he is weighing his options, that is probably why he is quiet.
If he was as onboard with NU as he was at the beginning of the year, he likely would have said a few words to put out the smoke and flames. Has he done that and I missed it?
Otherwise I have to finally begin to think that he is considering going somewhere else - more than returning. Which sucks. But that is where I am at right now. Transfer window is Jan 2 - 16, but he could say something sooner. Likely after Bowl game. Yeah, I'm starting to convince myself it doesn't look good.
How many "I'm not transferring" announcements have you seen from anyone? That's just not a thing. The default state is the school you are at, and if that changes you make an announcement. The only "I'm staying" announcements are from guys considering the NFL. Quite possible Raiola transfers, I have no clue. But the lack of announcement that he's staying is meaningless.

I’m not going to play the stats game. It can be used however either side wants. We could look at Nico’s time at Vols. Not terrible. The only thing he is better than Dylan is using his legs. He is a much worse passer.
B1G rankings DR vs NI
3rd vs 10th comp %
8th vs 18th yards/attempt
6th vs 15th Passer Rating
10th vs 13th QBR (which takes into account QB running)

I also have to wonder if he and the family are listening, but may not have their intentions known yet. Although it would be great to hear the confirmation that he will be staying a Husker, the football landscape is shifting quite a bit at the moment. It's still a game of musical chairs for coaches/coordinators so many players may be waiting to see who stays/leaves and what options are out there before declaring anything. We just saw Michigan get upended 24 hours ago which will only add to the carousel.Since nobody can declare for the portal until January 2 there's not much reason to issue a statement beyond soothing worried fans. And let's face it, worried fans have often been burned by players changing their minds.
If remaining quiet and letting the rumors swirl spurs a fresh NIL campaign to keep you around, why not? Maybe the vibe and performance of the bowl game could tip things. Even if he plans to stay, keeping quiet makes sense. But I'm like you, doesn't look good.
But, as @Husker_In_WI noted, he might simply think there is nothing to announce if he is planning to stay.
