Dylan Raiola

O line gave up less sacks with Turner at OT and playing better defenses in PSU and Iowa. DR has no internal clock that is needed to know when to get the ball away. We will see with a better OL if his sack numbers decrease.

Dylan wasn't nearly as bad as some of you are making him out to be- go back and watch some games again without emotion. Yes, some of the sacks were on him- the kind announcers call coverage sacks. However, some were on the O-Line, some were due to receivers making mistakes, some were our running backs getting bull dozed, etc. Dylan is a solid QB but not a world beater. He made us better. He is moving on so next man up - whoever that happens to be. No reason to drag his name through the mud. Virtually all the top QBs are transferring these days so we as a fan base better get used to it.

Also bc he will be playing in a different offense how long a play takes to develop that was one of the complaints as well.

Husker Online and Carriker both think some of this is coming from the Nebraska side.

Dom is using Sipple as his mouthpiece. And it has been that way for a couple years. (I wouldn't put stock in anything Carriker says)

Did he decide it was time to go? Or did we tell him we weren't going to be able to do exactly what they wanted and so they bailed?

I am not sure there. But Dom is the ultimate helicopter parent. This will be Dylan's 6th school in 7 years. When something like that happens it is the parent pulling the strings.

I woke up this morning and asked myself one thing. Who is my favorite Husker? Do I have one? I am not sure. I guess these days you root for the team and not the players. I guess I am like that with my NFL team. You can take nothing for granted. Players come and go.

BTW, I guess my favorite is EJ, but he does need to go to the NFL. Next up!

Not many on here are saying that he was "bad". It is just that he wasn't as good as many hoped he'd be coming in as a 5 star. He was an above average QB, which is fine. But I think there were a lot of other QBs out there who could have guided us to the same records we saw the past 2 years.

And there were many factors as to why that was.

Dylan's impact as a 5 star committing to the Huskers was always going to be more impactful than anything he would ever do on the field. He was a face for the program it hasn't had in a long, long time. He was a great recruiter, too.

He also is not irreplaceable. Rhule may also be coaching for his job. Gotta think he goes big for a QB in the portal.
