There is a lot of buzz circulating around Harper Murray celebrating the assassination of Charlie Kirk. I am praying this is not true but I look for this to gain traction if true. Not sure if this belongs in politics thread or here since its about a Husker player.

 
Definitely doesn't belong here.

All I've seen is that she shared a tiktok with a guy (not celebrating) but validating not needing to feel sad or empathetic towards someone who never extended empathy towards you, and a story where she basically said "wish i could share stuff on here but I play at nebraska and nobody is gonna like it" or something

Big nothing burger for everyone except the pearl clutchers who think forgiving her should make her change her ideology to match the state's
 
Also noteworthy in that we're playing Utah tonight. I wonder if there won't be a moment of "can't we all just get along" moment of silence prior to the match?

Maybe Allick & Harper embracing each other? I dunno. Everyone's nerves are frayed.

Sure this can be added elsewhere. I put it here as it has the potential of being a story that blows up and causes a distraction for the Husker team. I honestly do not believe anyone should change their ideology but I also believe high profile athletes need to have situational awareness when posting on social media.

Totally fine to dislike Nebraska politics. Feels cheap when you’re reaping the NIL benefits and notoriety from a fan base that you don’t respect.

She is a bully to mock her teammate
 
Just like Coach Cook before her I trust Coach DBK to address any issues regarding her players.

Social media is a mess right now, understandable after such a horrific murder. A lot of people, including Harper, would probably be wise to be back off on the commentary and even reacting to other's posts at this time.
 
It will be interesting to see how husker fans deal with this, I have seen some super dorks say that they already called the NIL offices and emailed AD Troy about all of this.
 
I can tell you who doesn't think this is a big deal...
