Is it’s possible we paid guys to not opt out or announce portal intent until after the bowl game? I was imagining more announcements before now.

Matt Rhule said that we were going to be spenders when the transfer portal opened up and so if more players do leave after the bowl game and with us signing such a very small recruiting class how many guys are we trying to bring in once the transfer portal opens? I thought we were looking to bring in only around 10-12 guys but I think the staff will bring in more with all the holes we have on the roster.

This argument is silly to me. If this were the only factor, Texas would be top 5 every year, so would Florida, USC and Miami, but they're not. Iowa would never sniff 9/10 wins either. Nebraska has had talent, but very poor coaching over the last decade. Coaching > Jimmies/Joes and coaching + jimmies/joes gets you Ohio State and Nick Saban Alabama.

Then maybe it was the swag bag and one night with Elvis. I just imagined more announcing. But I guess it doesn’t technical open until the 2nd.
