I'd be down for an approach of "here's a guy that recruits, and here's a guy that develops" for many positions.

Rhule post extension has to have been given a larger check. We are really targeting or in play with a better quality group of coaches than years past. Robinson is going to easily be over a million-1.5 if we get him.

The consensus among South Carolina fans is that Teasley was absolutely cleaning up on the recruiting front, but couldn't develop for shee-it. So if his main job is to just feed Geep Wade monster OL recruits, I don't have much issue with that. Someone posted this thread on the Husker subreddit.

I hope he brings those high rated recruits with him

I do see a couple stats that concern me. GT was #4 in the country in red zone scoring percentage. Sounds great, right?

But the problem is, they were #87 in red zone touchdown rate. And on 4th down conversions, they were an abysmal #124. Sounds like they had a lot of trouble getting a real push at the line when they needed it?

I don’t know everything about GT, but Haynes King was the offense. They were limited at skill positions and King ran for a lot of their yards and they were marginal at passing. I would surmise that people would load the box and know King is keeping it a lot of their times in the red zone. They lack execution for creativity.

That probably also skewed their offensive line play and ratings because King through determination and grit got them a lot of hidden yards.

But this is all guess work based on watching like two pieces of their games.

Yeah, a lot of people were attributing their low sack numbers more to King being a slippery mofo than to their OL.

Buddy of mine went to USC, die hard fan etc.. Confirmed the above. Can get dudes to commit and come, but couldn't coach at all.

Geep Wade - I feel like this was a very good hire. Definitely an upgrade over the Donnie Raiola experiment. I am so glad Rhule pulled the rug out and got a real OL coach. It had to happen.
