***Official 2024 College Football Thread***

I was trying to figure out what game to watch early as I was doing stuff around the house.  I picked the right one.  G Tech getting it done.

The irony of Colorado complaining about people throwing crap on the field.

The public address announcer said that they would empty sections if it didn't stop.  Announcers said they have never seen that done.

I have....

I was watching the UNLV-Hawaii game last night.

Matagi Thompson from Hawaii missed the first half for a targeting call in the previous game.

First play 2nd half in this game?  He runs down on kick-off and launches himself into the blocker and hits him with the crown of his helmet.  EJECTED, one play.  Wow, what an idiot.

12 team playoff this year

There will be 5 teams from the SEC

3 teams from the B1G

1 team from the ACC

1 team from the Big 12

1 team from Notre Dame

1 team named Boise State or Army

It's a shame that you have to be perfect in the Big 12 to make the playoffs, or have only 1 loss.  If Texas and OU was still in the Big 12 this would not be a thing.

It's a shame that it's the same thing for the ACC - unless one team is called "Clemson" (then it is possible to have 2 teams any time, any year).

It's a shame the SEC keeps moving the chairs around and thinking that 4 SEC teams can have 2 losses and still be the best teams in the Country.

It is a shame that $$$ is sooo involved with Viewership (TV/Cable Networks) and big brand names - that it will impact the playoffs, the match-ups, and telling people who they want to see.

So many teams have played out of their minds to make it to the playoffs and won't be rewarded.  Unfortunately, this is nothing like March Madness, hope and underdogs getting the light shined on them.

And it sucks.
