Portal QBs

Yes, and came back a few weeks later to go 27-33 for 243 yards, a 64 yard scramble, and a TD against Indiana. Team still got smoked, but it was the best opposing QB performance Indiana faced all season.

I didn't start today high on Chiles, but the more I look into him, the more I like his upside. He's nothing more than a one-year rental, but could be mutually beneficial especially with our investments on the line to protect the QB. He was sacked nearly as much as Dylan was the past two years and would have been more had he not been hurt. Or.... we gamble with an undersized Colandrea, overpay for Lagway, or risk it with Pribula whom Mizzou was happy to replace.
Pribula didn’t play against Indiana this season, Missouri didn’t play them. Did you mean Grunkemeyer?

I put less fault on the young man than I do the system. If there was a couple million on the line, I'm sure most of us would take it, even if it wasn't an ideal situation.

I do agree that the game has become a joke and I, like you, think it needs to burn to the ground in order to rebuild something with at least a shred of parity and integrity.
Generally I put more fault on the system. But in Minchey’s case I have no problem calling out his integrity. Gave us a verbal, told us paperwork was coming then he ghosts and signs with Kentucky, without even giving us another shot. Not that we would’ve or should’ve matched/exceeded that ridiculous amount but phuck him. Hope he blows out a knee.

Colandrea gives us a chance with the upcoming brutal schedule. he can pretty much do everything on the field to win games. we just need to protect him and give him a couple more weapons.

One touchdown. That's it. They lost 13-38. The games where he had decent passing yardage they were usually behind or he was throwing screens all night. As some one who lives an hour away from East Lansing, they don't want him and we don't want him. He's not good. Like Sims he has a lot of intangibles but he doesn't have the head to be an elite or even good QB. Michigan State didn't win a single B1G game this season.

Which was more than Alabama & Iowa had and as many as Ohio State, Oregon, Illinois, and Penn State had. Obviously a moot point now, but I think the guy has talent and might have performed well with the investments we're making along the offensive line.
