Tangent Thread - Lifetime Edition

LISTEN YOU COWARDS, THIS AIN'T OVER! WE CANNOT REST UNTIL ROXY'S REIGN OF TERROR OVER HUSKERBOARD HAS COME TO AN END!!!!

Nah, Roxy's world is not the hill I want to die on. I apologize for my role in making anyone too angsty. But we have had several conversations behind her back in other Woodshed threads, I guess openly bringing our concerns to her attention is not the right way to go. Could have been done with less snark and sarcasm, but no one was attacking her, and that brand of snark is SOP on this board. Unfortunately she responds to any suggestions or negative feedback as an attack. It's true that she is not hurting anyone, but if everyone responded to discussion the way she does, and if everyone posted the way she does, this board would be unusable.

In a thread with no other purpose than to collect random Youtube videos, who's to say which videos are obviously trolling? Dewiz was sticking up for her, but his videos got moved too. I don't see how JJ's posts were trolling. The other comments and arguments getting moved, that's totally understandable. The worst part was Enhance saying he was disappointed in our behavior, that's worse than getting paddled. Getting involved in any dust-up on the matter is regrettable, and I can happily stand down from it, but it has been a fascinating study of message board ethnography.

That’s the main issue here, I think. This place would be a s#!tshow if everyone behaved like Roxy, but so far everyone isn’t behaving like Roxy so I guess the mods are okay with just Roxy behaving like Roxy. But if the mods are going to let it slide when they wouldn’t if everyone did it, then some teasing/moderation by community should also be allowed.

I think they should change the thread title to Roxy's music videos. I think that would be a more justifiable reason for leaving it the way it is.

There was a post from earlier today, someone bitching at Enhance or Moiraine or whatever. I was just reacting to that.

Thanks to whichever Mod moved my post here so I don't look like a crazy person (moreso than normal ;) ).

Hmmm...now I'm wondering.  Does the VB team post weight room videos too?  Trying hard to not go look....
