Thunderin' Bolts @ Shriner's Children's College Showdown

Top of the 8th, 1-1 after NU pulled Sears in the bottom of the 6th and Baylor's first batter against the relief drove their runner in with a double. Relief got out of that inning, then forced a double play in facing 3 batters in the bottom of the 7th. NU hitters haven't done much, Top of the 8th, first batter HBP, then two outs, before Baylor brings in their 4th pitcher. Carey with another RBI double, then Walk, then lineout to RF.

Huskers up 2-1 after the top 8th

Baylor gets one guy on in the bottom 8th, but no further damage. Then leadoff for Huskers in the 9th, Ingram, launches a HR to left.

3-1 with no one out in the top 9th.

 
4-1 Huskers into the bottom of the 9th, Silva got onto base with a passed ball strikeout, stole a base, then Brumbaugh hit him in. Then Brumbaugh got caught stealing to end the inning.

 
Good win! Sears looked good. Pitching overall did good. 

Also I don't like that they went away from the N they've had on the hat for years.

What I liked most was the total pitches thrown.. Nebraska batters were going deep into the pitch counts resulting in Baylor's TP at 151 while Nebraska's Total Pitches 117. Keep doing that and they'll have more wins.. Great Effort throughout... Fun game to listen to also. Well Done Huskers!! GBR
