I think you all made valid points. I just asked a question. I believe Taylor Martinez was very effective against Kansas State in 2010. Honestly I don't care who is at quarterback. I would just like to see us win games. I would like to see us do better with our personnel. I think we have some really good skill guys. We just have to find ways to get them the ball in space. I would like us to sustain drives. I would like us to be efficient on offense and score 30 points in every game. I would like us to limit turnovers. And I would like to see stronger stats from Taylor Martinez against big 10 defenses.
Well, you can rip him for the Wisconsin game to your heart's content. However, you just might want to consider that Beck himself said he blew it on that one.
But after that
one game in the Big10, Tmart threw a whole "two" interceptions vs the other seven Big10 teams. One of those "two" interceptions was a Hail Mary with 2 seconds left in the 1st half vs the Buckeyes so we're really talking "one" real interception.
Anyway, for the final
seven Big10 games Tmart was 108 for 165 (65%) for 1150 yds with 8 TDs & 2 interceptions. Joe Montana? Nope. But not nearly as horrible as so many project and five of those were vs some damn fine defenses (Iowa, Michigan State, Michigan, Ohio State, Penn State). Then consider what his numbers would be if our wrs hadn't dropped passes all over the place?
You know, winning games isn't all on our qb. Our Oline was inconsistent as best, our wrs dropped passes everywhere and our defense had problems in River City. We had way, WAYYY bigger problems than our qb last year.
