  1. Cody Glenn had VERY SIMILAR NUMBERS back when we were smart enough to use him.
  2. Does Cody Glenn not still play for the Huskers?????? This is two weeks in a row!!! Brandon Jackson has done a great job thus far, but I don't see Cody being a part of this much longer......... Am I missing something here?
  3. Glenn is thaaaaa Ma aaaaaaaannnnnnn!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  4. Was that the play. I remember a receiver being on the other side of the LOS, then backing up and getting set. Was this the same play where the left tackle was freaking out flailing his arms. It looked like he was trying to get ZT to audible. I say this because he was still moving when the ball was snapped. I thought they were gonna nail us for false start. WR's can move. I don't think patrick was in the 3 point stance at that point. According to NCAA Rule 7-1: Snapping and Passing the Ball #3. "No player of the offensive team shall be in or beyond the neutral zone after the snapper touches or simulates (hand (s) at or below his knees) touching the ball. EXCEPTIONS: 1) Substitutes and departing players; and 2) offensive players in a scrimmage kick formation who, after the snapper touches the ball, point at opponents and break the neutral zone with their hand(s). (S7 and S19) I think that what I saw was illegal by rule and the official on that side of the field "blew it"! (great "no call") Again, if anyone can confirm that it actually occurred during the play in question, please inform......
  5. Did my eyes deceive me, or did I notice that Mo Purify walked across the LOS at least 2 yards before the snap (while our center had his hand on the ball), then returned onsides, THEN caught the TD pass before the half? I thought at that moment that the officials had to call that penalty----it seemed fairly obvious..... Can anyone confirm whether or not this occurred??? I did not record the game.
  6. On the post-game coaches show, Jay Norvell stated that Cody did indeed have a hamstring pull and that they worked him out before the game and that he was just not ready yet. The coaches were planning on using him, but didn't want him to injure it worse......said the Huskers would definitely need him down the stretch run.
  7. For all the doomsdayers------Cody is not playing because he has a hamstring pull suffered during practice this week. And he's not going anywhere that doesn't have a big "N" on the cap either. This is just another unfortunate circumstance that is slowing the C-Train a bit. Give him a little time and he'll be out there.
  8. Coach Callahan and staff make a lot of money to make decisions. It's time to move on and let them earn their $$$.
  9. This horse has been beaten to death by everyone. We all know that Cody has a great fan base in Texas and especially in his home town where everyone knows what kind of person he is. I've always felt that the true test of a man's character is to see how he responds when faced with adversity. I fully expect C-Train to come out SMOKIN this week and show everyone what was missing last week. Good Luck Huskers..............kick some serious butt the rest of the season!!!
  10. Nice one, Rick.................................Goshiminator!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  11. I still think the "Huskers could have used their personnel better and WON that game.
  12. I never thought they'd jerk him around like they're doing! This staff seems to want to play the politically correct player......? It'll be real hard to win the big games when all the players know this happens. Nothing is wrong with Cody. There is no injury and he's 100% healthy. I'd like to be a fly on the wall in the coaches' office................
  13. In my opinion, Glenn is the one guy that needs to see the rock 15+ times every game. His power really opens up everything else in the WCO. To those who think he is not quick enough or fast enough, I simply say: "BULL BUTTER"!!!!
  14. Seems like the Husker staff has missed the boat on this young man. Cody Glenn is a player who "carries his pads well"(coachism). I'll take a 4.5 forty kid with heart, determination, a good motor, who makes few mistakes and loves collisions over one that is timid and won't stick his nose in the hole or tends to not protect the ball, but can run a 4.3. I'll guarantee you one thing......Cody didn't come to Nebraska to be played sparingly. There's no reason to "save" an athlete with his abilities either. Has Cody not produced between the 20-yd. lines? He is NOT just a short ydg. back. For some reason, many equate his abilities and size to only being a short ydg. back. NOTHING could be farther from the truth. Has a ball been thrown to him yet? How can you say his hands are suspect then? How many schools would DIE for a kid of his talent, character, and toughness? I absolutely know that Cody Glenn should be the Huskers' BELL COW!!! Hmmm......Leading rusher in Spring Game ................Leading rusher in 1st Game ................2 TD's in VERY LIMITED action in 2nd Game ................Does not fumble ................Most hard-nosed back on team I GUESS I WOULDN'T PLAY HIM EITHER (sarcasm) ***I just wonder what direction UT's football team would have taken had Earl Campbell only been used as a short yardage back.......and, no, he wasn't the fastest back of all time either!
