  1. This just kills me. How many QB's are great against Oklahoma? Oh, I forgot, Joe tore the Sooners up last year. What happens if Green starts, kills Iowa st and Baylor, but throws 3 picks againts Oklahoma. We lose 30 to 10. Whose bandwagon are we going to jump on next? Kody Spano? Latravis Washington? Tyler Gabbert? Don't get me wrong, whoever starts, I want to see them succeed, Green, Lee, Washington, doesn't matter, but it seems like some fans want some players to fail just so they can post their supperior knowledge on a message board.
  2. Exactly, how soon we forget. Wasn't it about this time last year when Watson's offense kept T Techs offense from scoring about 70 points?
  3. Pretty vague quote...could just as easily mean that he saw what we had to offer and has excluded us from further consideration. Rivals put us up to medium interest with the other three.
  4. This teams expectations were so low at the begining of the season and look where they are now. They still have a shot at a national seed. Definatly a home regional. Maybe???? They just need a wake up call, like this weekend, ecspecially after last weekend.
  5. If anything, I would like to see one of the major networks show a national series of the week. Don't get me wrong, I would love to see every Husker game on TV, or even half of them , but maybe they could show a series between two nationally ranked teams ( such as Miami vs Florida St). Baseball is our national past-time. It's time to make it our national current-time. With all the problems with MLB, maybe college baseball is the answer to make that happen.
  6. Anyone else out there feel this way? Major League Baseball is ok, but it doesn't compare to college baseball this time of year. I was wondering if there is any way college baseball fans could email ESPN, Fox , or any of the sports networks to let them know that we want more college baseball. How can we let them know college baseball doesn't start in June ?
  7. If we start out 0-4, there will be " Fire Bo" websites all over the net. 0-8, cars would be turned over and started on fire in front of Memorial Statium. 0-12, Bo's bags would be packed and he would be searching for the best DC job he could find. 6-6, would that have been acceptable last year, five years ago, or 38 years ago? NO!!!! And it's not acceptable now.
  8. What did he do that was so bad? Don't get me wrong , he made mistakes , but it's not like he got some unauthorized STINKY PINKY in one of the Lincoln bars. Oh Yeah!!! That was a GOOD OL NEBRASKA WHITE BOY, let's not ridicule him, let's pick on Mo. Let me ask you this. How many of you routed for Phillips in the 95 Fiesta Bowl. You know you did , but that was OK, because it was for a National Championship and Dr. Tom said it was OK. Mo is a Husker, so why is it so hard to hope that he excells in the NFL and turns his life around?
  9. Posts like this make me chuckle. Lucky contributed nearly 1800 total yards last year, set a record for passes caught by a running back and had nearly 5 yards per carry. I think the problem is expectations. Those that expected Lucky to be Adrian Peterson set themselves up for disappointment. Lucky has improved every season he has been here and I bet he will be even better this year. Lucky is a pretty special player and probably the best player on the whole team. If some think he is a bust, what does that say about everyone else?
  10. Jonny Rodger's son. Did we pass up Barry Sanders because of him? Just something a guy I work with told me , true or not , I don't know.
  11. Beck Newcombe (I remember getting into a heated argument with a buddy when Newcombe and Crouch were pretty much completely even... really still competing for the same job... at the time I argued that Crouch would prove the superior college quarterback. Bobby then went thru a whole series of 'head games', leaving Lincoln etc. - if I remember correctly, where it felt like he wasn't ever in it for the team). I think Newcombe was named the starter and Crouch went home crying to mommy.
  12. I know a lot of you won't agree with me, but Lucky staying is very good news. The kid was about 60% of our offense last year. He didn't fumble and when the ball was thrown to him he was very reliable. With every game, he improved running the ball with patience and a little more toughness. Next season, he will only be better. 1000 yards rushing isn't to shabby when your team is down by 20 pts most every game at halftime.
  13. I thought they kicked our ass because our coaches sucked, not our players.
