More than likely not. If a Big XII supernova were to occur like some are speculating with the Pac-10 you may see teams anxious to join if they can begin sharing revenue immediately. I highly doubt anything would impact this season however, we're almost too late in the game for that under any scenario.

To me, Rutgers won't do jack for market/media outlets. They simply don't have the product, and I don't know that they ever will. I don't think Rutgers ever will. However, I think there are enough fans of the package we'd have in place on the east coast to warrant consideration in that market. Maybe 20 years from now Rutgers will be more relevant there, but probably not. Outside of basketball, the same probably goes for Syracuse.

Ohio State fan here. Just dropping in to get some feedback / contribute some opinions on realignment and the apparent impending addition of Nebraska to the Big Ten. Generally, my take is that most Big Ten fans will welcome the addition and be excited to have you on board. We're looking to strengthen our conference in a variety of ways and Nebraska certainly does that. Expansion likely wouldn't end with Nebraska, but may move to a second phase where we evaluate the moves other conferences make to react.

I really wish I could get behind a Rutgers invitation, but it bums the hell out of me. If I've got to take a Big lEast school; then I'm going with Syracuse. Otherwise, piss on that league. If the Big Ten could pull of ND, Nebraska, Texas, and either A&M or Missouri, you would expect Rutgers or Syracuse to be next. With that kind of line up, we would be selling a much more desirable package to the coveted East coast media outlets.

That's their nature. Worthless, idiotic, petulant, criminal, a$$hole$. I don't think the petulance of Penn State fans has enough notoriety. But coming from another life-long Ohio State fan, I can tell you that generally Nebraska will get nothing but respect from the Big Ten. Furthermore, Iowa would be very eager to establish a rivalry that I'm sure would be mutually beneficial to reciprocate. If all of this comes to be, consider this another welcome to the Big Ten.
