Liking nearly every post that disapproved of Allick’s post and none that even remotely supported it IS saying something. Does anyone remember when Harper took it to television and was emotional about the cyber bullying she received after the National Championship loss? She definitely learned from that.

I wonder if so many people would still support Harper if she wasn’t the most important player on the team.

In the absence of proof, let's say she actually did this (I don't have tiktok so I can't independently verify).

Emailing the AD, emailing the coach, demanding in outrage that she is kicked off the team... that's absolutely unhinged behavior because a kid liked some posts.

And it goes against what Kirk stood for. I was a fan of his. Didn't agree with all but one thing i loved is that he gave anyone and everyone a platform to express their opinions. She deserves some grace from us imo.

Defending something and not even knowing the application it occurred on is sloppy.


I was not a Kirk follower/supporter and didn’t pay attention to his campus debates. I do pay attention to and support the volleyball program. Going out of your way to mock your teammate’s beliefs, especially in-season is bold. People will defend her because she is an asset on the court but Harper needs to mature.

I don’t disagree in the grand context but she’s mocking her teammate’s beliefs. I’d have no problem with her posting her own thoughts if she chose to do that. Rebekah has always been open with her faith and continued that with her Kirk post. If my coworker posted something similar on FB, I’d probably just keep scrolling rather than make my own point.

Again, this will all blow over, as it should. It has to be difficult being a young athlete in the spotlight. People calling for removal are just as silly.

1. That's not Harper Murray's account in the link you posted.
2. The "objectionable" post was from TikTok, not Twitter.
3. Agree people calling for her ouster are just silly.

Knapp… I can go on Instagram and still see the liked posts. It goes straight to her account.

The Twitter post was of all the comments she liked under Rebekah’s Kirk post.

I’m done posting about it. If there were any problems behind closed doors, I’m sure they’ll be worked out. Freedom of speech goes both ways as should respect.
