Iron sharpens iron. Since 2010 we have not had an Offense or Defense that is iron. The optimism in the offseason is watching pudding sharpen play dough.
I appreciated the no-quit, but we were out-athleted and outcoached...a terrible combo.
Both lines got dominated. We had to run man to man on D to have a chance, and it showed a weak 3-3-5 scheme without the true athletes to run it well. Our offensive tackles are offensive. There was one play where Gutovsky got beaten badly, and to make up for it, ended up tackling our RB who shed the UM player that beat Gutovsky. Truly embarrassing.
Dylan processes too slowly when there's time, and he didn't;t have consistent time. He cannot throve with a sub-par O Line. Lateef at least brings dimension. I'm not saying replace Raiola, I'm saying Dylan insult going to flourish without time like other QB's with more dimension might.
Our DB, #10, was awful.
C. Wright sighting today and got to see he is actually pretty good. I also like our punter.
It's going to be another rough year. 8 wins absolute tops.
