What Did We Learn? - Michigan

I think we can still win 8 games if we learn to take oppadvantage of the opportunities. Got to score more in the red zone. We are still a year away from being a contender if we get studs from the portal to help our defense and offense lines.

Iron sharpens iron. Since 2010 we have not had an Offense or Defense that is iron. The optimism in the offseason is watching pudding sharpen play dough.

I appreciated the no-quit, but we were out-athleted and outcoached...a terrible combo.

Both lines got dominated. We had to run man to man on D to have a chance, and it showed a weak 3-3-5 scheme without the true athletes to run it well. Our offensive tackles are offensive. There was one play where Gutovsky got beaten badly, and to make up for it, ended up tackling our RB who shed the UM player that beat Gutovsky. Truly embarrassing.

Dylan processes too slowly when there's time, and he didn't;t have consistent time. He cannot throve with a sub-par O Line. Lateef at least brings dimension. I'm not saying replace Raiola, I'm saying Dylan insult going to flourish without time like other QB's with more dimension might.

Our DB, #10, was awful.

C. Wright sighting today and got to see he is actually pretty good. I also like our punter.

It's going to be another rough year. 8 wins absolute tops.

There were so many times today when Dylan dropped back to throw that I wished when his #1 or #2 options weren't there that he would have just climbed the pocket and pulled the trigger to run to at least gain 1 or 2 yards instead of taking a sack.

O-line absolutely needs work but the QB can help his O-line in those passing situations. The offensive coordinator can help in those situations too and actually leave a running back or tight-end in to help block.

not until the nephew is gone.

I don’t say this as a counterpoint and I do have criticisms, but I see this program making some strides. No knock on any individual player or group of players, but I believe we still lack top talent. Clearly Michigan has more raw talent
No knock taken and I agree 100%. He isn't recruiting or should I say getting the players we need on that line and if he can't then it might be time to make a change to someone they will come play for.

Giving up 9.4 ypc is embarrassing. Nebraska had better QB play and receivers, but Nebraska wasn't in the same stratosphere along the LOS.

I think this is a 7-5 team, every game will be difficult in the B1G with these lines.
