I do see a couple stats that concern me. GT was #4 in the country in red zone scoring percentage. Sounds great, right?

But the problem is, they were #87 in red zone touchdown rate. And on 4th down conversions, they were an abysmal #124. Sounds like they had a lot of trouble getting a real push at the line when they needed it?

I don’t know everything about GT, but Haynes King was the offense. They were limited at skill positions and King ran for a lot of their yards and they were marginal at passing. I would surmise that people would load the box and know King is keeping it a lot of their times in the red zone. They lack execution for creativity.

That probably also skewed their offensive line play and ratings because King through determination and grit got them a lot of hidden yards.

But this is all guess work based on watching like two pieces of their games.
 
Yeah, a lot of people were attributing their low sack numbers more to King being a slippery mofo than to their OL.
 
Geep Wade - I feel like this was a very good hire. Definitely an upgrade over the Donnie Raiola experiment. I am so glad Rhule pulled the rug out and got a real OL coach. It had to happen.
 
I hopes he brings very tough and nasty players with him. Perhaps a tough mf’er from the portal. Or that he see’s we have a few nasty and tough players already here and makes them into something.
Anyway he does it, make a nasty and tough room full of badasses.

Having a opportunity to get DR forced him to keep Donnie around a lot longer than he should have. Year 5 may be what year 3 has been at his other stops because of it.
