How he has handled it wrong? He owns us nothing as fans and doesn't own us a statement thanking the fans for his support. Yes I agree that we as fans want a thank you in return but bc maybe his decision isn't finale then I don't see how he has handled it wrong.

I never said anything about fans. As a fan I don't care what he does.

He was silent and he made the coaches and his teammates stay quiet while they fielded the tough questions and rumors. Dylan quietly entered his name into the portal. Like a coward. Like someone afraid to answer the tough questions, including competition at QB. The pressure was on and he got sacked in this case, again.
 
I actually think it’s really cringy when players put out a 5 paragraph “statement” thanking everyone.
Nothing to see show’s over…people just move along.

Especially in today’s climate. Literally THOUSANDS of players transfer every cycle. We will become or are already numb to it.

3 teams set their school record for sacks against us this season.

He hasn't entered his name in the portal because he can't for another week. Many players wait to make a statement until they actually do it. It has been leaked that he intends to but until he actually does, no reason to expect anything from him. Why would he burn a multi million dollar bridge before his next move was set. Maybe the leak was intentional to test the waters... who knows?

Interesting now I’ve seen people talking and questioning if Dylan is actually wanting to stay in Lincoln now? Dating a girl on the softball team that seems pretty serious.

Get the feeling Dylan has been wearing out his welcome, so would they even want him to stay at this point🤷🏽‍♂️

Imo Dylan talked to the coaches and told him of his decision of wanting to go to the portal to see his options but he didn't burn any bridges and might come back. I think the media started all this and added way to much fuel to the fire

He got more money last year to stay & I hear he was asking for $4M. We said no. This portal entrance is about money. We need guys who want to he here. Dylan & the family think hes worth more than he is worth. He is been dating for less than 6 months. Girls come & go.

I didn't hear he was asking for more. Who comes up with the narrative that he is greedy bc from all accounts he has been an outstanding young man since he first got to campus. I think that bc he is quiet and stays silent fans are coming up with this picture of him being a self centered greedy person and imo I don't think that is the case. I will agree with you that most of the portal is about money but for some its about opportunities.

Has the ship sailed or would we entertain him coming back? Two big markers coming up in my opinion. Our bowl game and how TJ performs. As well as the portal officially opening and players coming off the board which will start a musical chairs environment.

I’ve said it before, I think the door is not shut on him coming back. Although a guy could type out a goodbye and retract it.

What is relevant is the guy who is accountable for these decisions, and a decision to hire Satterfield, and retain him, and a 23 year old WR coach...just got extended to CEO Nebraska football.
