Arrival/Departure list 2025-2026

Getting the right guys is just as important as the number of guys. Colorado has got absolute dog crap from the portal minus at wideout not including Sanders/Hunter. Indiana got very good JMU players and then the right QB/fill in players. And then some killers.

Colorado also doesn't even come close in the NIL aspect as everyone listed above.

Word is at least some of the guys who have entered the portal may come back. Rhule has talked to players and said they can explore options but may come back. Some are still grandfathered and don't count against the 105 limit.

Who does and doesn't count against the 105, anyway?

I have no idea how to figure that out. I assume it would have to be anyone on the roster when the settlement was accepted. But that would mean it'll be 3-4 more years before there is really a limit.

My understanding is that each team had to submit a list of players that would have been cut if the 105 limit was strictly imposed. The players on that list are grandfathered in and don’t count against the cap. In many cases those were walkons.

I'm not sure the bold is true. My understanding is similar, but there is no way to enforce the "would have been cut" piece so I'm guessing teams with large rosters and the resources to maintain large rosters designated mostly freshmen. They are also grandfathered in for other teams, so there's an unknown number of players that anyone could sign regardless of the roster limit. Which is pretty crazy.

McGahee in the portal
.

So. Princewill falls behind Fre McGahee on the depth chart, transfers & is productive for Ole Miss. So. McGahee falls behind RFre Jordan Ochoa on the depth chart, redshirts & portals.

I try not to judge coaches for why certain players fall out of favor because you can never truly understand w/o being in the building. But, this program has had issues pressuring the QB for a while, and 2 guys who have proven the ability to do it somehow couldn't find the field at NU. Which is also difficult to understand.

It's weird on how a coach sees a guy. Look no further than Emmitt Johnson
