Federal officers can absolutely be charged in the conspiracy.  Trump's not out of the woods yet in the example of Arizona.  The prosecutor may have several reasons for not charging yet, one being that he may be using the chargers against the other co-conspirators to flip on Trump.

This seems like a logical move and one that could work.

Sucks for those kids that the school has a spineless administration.

65K a year a year and they don't even get the choice to walk.  That sucks, maybe not even so much for the student but more for their family.

  3. I remember one poster saying that many of the protesters were in fact supporting a terrorist group and being anti-jew.

That poster was chastised and told that he/she was incorrect.

I remember one poster saying that for many of the protesters it was in fact just a social gathering, a party, if you will.  Now we see pictures and videos of them dancing, eating Dunkin Donuts, drinking lattes and listening to music.

Again, he/she was told they were wrong.

Now we have the second largest hammy supporting population in the world...on college campuses here in America.

And apparently they love sushi and salsa dancing.  That, the poster did not predict.    The same poster also said that cell phones and the internet would not "catch on" and that the Huskers would win at least 9 games last year...soooooo there is that.

  4. Haha, this quote!

In person, I totally get it and it is funny but when it makes it to print it just isn't the same

"I think there's going to be more of a defensive side start to things," he said. "Coach Cooper played a big role in me being offered. He's trying to bring back the white defensive backs is what he told me. He's pretty cool. I think it'll be a defensive start because they said they have some guys coming it at receiver. I don't think that door is closed, but defensive back is more where I fit."

Have they announced what the format is going to be?

Coach just said QB's will not be live But "We are going to play a game"

He just said that at his presser right now.  So sounds like it will be a regular game, probably a running clock in the second half though.

Yeah I was wondering that too if the chance for big tips would draw some in. If you worked Friday night and got out at 2 or 3am though it would be hard regardless to make it the next day at 6am possibly still drunk from the night before.

I don't think I would do it, if I tended bar.

But it would depend on the tips.  I mean, if I could go in from 6am-11am, work 5 hours and walk out with 300+, that would be pretty sweet while in college.

But, I am not a super hot girl so I would probably make way less.

Having worked in the industry for a long time, good luck finding a bartender that is gonna wake up at that time. Even before 10am is a stretch.

Yeah, I would imagine you might get the old "Of course I will be there" and then of course they do not show up.

The motivation to make crazy tips seems like it would help BUT they will make that during the day/night too.

I don't imagine it starts out with some company having an explicit goal towards a nefarious and obviously troubling use case. In terms of audio, a handful of years back Adobe was showing a demo of a new feature in which their new AI protocol could help you clean up audio from an interview, and even possibly add or replace words based off an algorithmically built voice profile of the recording. As a filmmaker, this has been awesome for me in certain jobs where I need to cut an edit down for time and a speaker isn't being concise or to the point, or stumbles over a word, or the audio isn't clean from background noise, etc. But there's no reality in which you can only have a tool used for positive and beneficial use cases without it being available for bad ones.

Same with Chat GPT. I use it to help reword emails, come up with pitch deck points, re-order and reformat data values such as lists of names or email addresses, and it even writes code for me sometimes. All immensely helpful uses that have helped me professionally and creatively, but it comes with the inevitable downside of being used to cheat/lie or being used as evidence even though its conclusions are wrong, and so on.

We use it a lot in school.

I can take 10 pages of my old notes and put it into GPT and have it get condensed to bullet points for lecture in seconds.

They swear that the benefits of Ai are massive -- the ability to solve complex problems like climate, income inequity, disease, agricultural efficiency and basic human fulfillment in ways we literally haven't imagined.

And yet it's so easy to see how it would get co-opted by the worst opportunists.

If history is any indicator, the first wave of innovation will come from the porn industry.

    It already has...

Or...so I was told by someone.

I know this is not intentional but if you have ever worked outdoor maintenance, those dudes are IN LOVE with their sprinklers and watering.   There was 100% chance that they were not going to turn it off.

Not to veer into P&R territory, but when Deion came to Colorado from an HBU and drew a lot of haters with him, Colorado gained a major profile and rooting interest from Black Americans, including those with no previous college allegiance and many who didn't otherwise follow football at all.

Deion was a huge mainstream media story the first few games of the year, with millions of dollars swirling around him and the University, but it dropped off the map when Colorado plummeted to the bottom of the conference. I don't see the hype coming back, even if CU adds two wins and gets to a bowl game. If he sticks around and genuinely builds the program,  he'll deserve the respect. That just feels like a long shot right now.

Yeah, I think it was just a very quick flash for CU and the way they started last year it makes sense that they were so popular.

  13. I feel like attendance will be just over 60K.

I hate the start time for this one as it really ruins the pregame fun but me and my group will still have a good time!

Last season I was a bit shocked at how many bars are not open by 9am on a game day, why as a bar owner you would not do all you can to embrace that atmosphere makes zero sense to me.

Basically you will have Bodega's, Sandy's and Barry's, those will be open for sure.
