This is genuinely one of the most incredible things I have ever seen. The administration getting this together, the fans being great as always, the staff setting up the event, the production crew making it a party, and most importantly the players past and present that lead to this day. A high water mark for Husker athletics in any sport. In awe of it all

I can't find the overall metric (and mostly just 21/22 numbers), but I would guess South Carolina. Basketball does a lot of work, they had close to 200,000 in 2021 for WBB alone. Their VB is non-existent, but they were also top ten in softball (2022, ~40,000) and Soccer (2021, ~12,000). They went 36-1 in WBB and won the SEC soccer tournament, so with some spikes in attendance for those (plus seems like Softball was just more popular this year) that would've pushed them above our ~280k.
We will run away with this next year, the game at Memorial stadium (assuming it counts as a home game) will add about 70,000 fans above our average in a single game.
Softball is going to be crazy with Bahl too, they could double their attendance.

I was obviously wrong, but a few years ago I thought the Big 12 was dead and the Pac 12 would become a Big 3 with the B1G and SEC. The ACC is still above the Big 12, but the gap isn't all that large imo.
It is going to be interesting to see what the Pac leftovers do. If they raid the MWC and WAC they could have a really good basketball league, but football is dead.

Would certainly help DONU get that first W.
What I actually think is that a bunch of people will complain, but most will still tune in. Since this is almost assuredly happening at some point I would like some rules like if you win your regular season or conference tourney you get in and you must have at minimum a record above .500. I don't care if Oklahoma's NET was 70 and technically a bubble team in a field of 80 or 96 or whatever they end up at you are 15-17 you don't qualify.

Explicit late hit.
The weirdest ref thing from the game was thar replay of the third down. Chiefs got a first down on a defensive holding and ended up punting, but I didn't figure out what happened with the replay of the down.

We are all aware of Jayskers, but what do you call a Sooner/Jay? Jooner? Soonjay?

Adding more teams probably makes for a better title IMO. I don't want to say that TCU got lucky b/c they earned the opportunity, but Michigan, Bama, Penn St, USC, Utah, Tennessee are probably all favorites against the frogs. TCU played the game of their lives last week then got obliterated, should probably weed out the teams with one good performance earlier than the title game.

Bummer that this is going to pass the Huskers against Florida in the Fiesta Bowl for the biggest margin of victory in a title game.

One team was disciplined and gave a s#!t. The other didn't want to be there and I don't really blame fans for not showing up to a bitter cold game with no stakes in Fort Worth

Probably got it right based on resume, but if I am Georgia I am not too happy. Would have much rather seen TCU or USC than OSU.

Utah and Whittingham are so incredibly likeable. Glad they rolled tonight.

First 10 mins was awful for both teams. Husker offense woke up a bit, but dang is this an ugly game.

Sounds like Kansas will announce basically an entire stadium teardown/rebuild this weekend. Start 5-0 and get frisky.
(Actually assume it has been in the works and will look similar to Northwester's plans, smaller with better amenities and try and position themselves as a viable football option for conference consolidation)

Leipold is a Wisconsin native and had incredible success working up there.

Why are there a bunch of purple street lights in Lincoln?
Also go skers.

Put Gameday in Lawrence next week cowards.

Major kudos to Pitt for having both West Virginia and Tennessee in their noncon schedule. Even if they are both at home I can't imagine there are more than a few power conference teams scheduling two big matchups like that.

OK..
I mean I get hating Texas, but they went on the road and pretty much dominated a top 10 squad 2 nights in a row. They earned it.

Yeah really enjoying it so far. Betting I get through it tomorrow by how I am hooked haha.
Lots of fun. Good emotional moments and some laughs. The second to last episode was a chaotic as it gets in the best way possible. I haven’t ever worked in a kitchen, but it feels like they did a good job capturing the environment. Also clearly a love letter to Chicago as well.- 1

Got through 'The Bear' last week.
Quick thoughts, it's a really, really, really well written show. It's very intense at times and does a great job of giving you a realistic look at what it's like being in a kitchen. The lead actor does a great job of conveying the heaviness of everything that is being heaped upon him. They did a great job casting the show and there is a surprise cameo on who they got to play the older brother that does a great job of bringing the character to life. I can't wait to watch it again.
Yeah really enjoying it so far. Betting I get through it tomorrow by how I am hooked haha.

Duke gets a targeting penalty, but due to Clemson's QB starting his slide just before the first down it's considered after the play and a turnover on downs. Technically correct, but an odd one for sure.
