Coach O for OLine? Somewhat a serious question here. Maybe it looks bad to hire him with all the potential baggage he may have left in Baton Rouge, but he’d be a guy I could see coming to a potential one and done situation.
He’s never coached offense. All Dline and DC background. So NO.

I know one thing, if we get off to a bad start next year then we have to buck our trend and fire him in season.
No more kid gloves, it’s put up or shut up time. You wanna be a Blue Blood than act like it.

our running backs are going to get a lot better with another offseason of development.
our line can't get any worse.
a lot of our key receivers should be back next year.
our special teams can't get any worse.
most the defense will be back which obviously has been the strongest part of the team.
i'd personally would like to see frost get 1 more year to prove he can coach a winner. It makes sense to me.
Literally stopped reading after “Martinez is very close to being an elite QB.”

Because Frost chose to bring his yuppies with him!
This isn’t hard to comprehend.
The coaches he brought don’t deserve to get paid more than they do.
Frost had a chance to bring in proven assistants that would’ve been paid more.
He chose the easy and lazy way and brought his whole staff with him.

It was stated multiple times when frost was hired he had blank checks for assistant coaches.
HE CHOSE to bring his whole staff with him and not go after better, more proven coaches!!!

I get that you feel that way.
Truth is covid year f#&%ed up the rebuild. I know I know.... every team dealt with it . First off, not every team dealt with it like BIG teams had to, thanks to the idiot in the office.
Second. Its like two houses are side by side, one is just being built framework is up maybe rafters are starting held in place but not locked in. The other house is fully built, everything locked in tight.
100 mile wind comes through. Built house loses a few shingles, maybe some siding. Framed house gets blown apart. Might not have to completely start over, but completing that framed house is gonna take a bit longer now.
Husker football is the framed house. A built program was easier to sustain during the pandemic than one that was still fragile and not completely buttoned up.
Whatever you you have to tell yourself….

how do we still have 24 on our roster? or are you not counting the ones who transferred in?
Correct. Those are just the players that were recruited and committed not transfers.

Have they really been that much worse than other programs in retention?
Not sure on other programs.
In frosts tenure we have had 27 four star players commit and 9 have left the program.

even with all the guys that have transferred we still have 24 4+ star players on our roster....more than double that of Illinois, Purdue yada yada.
Believe me I’m not saying we don’t have talent. We have plenty.
Just stating facts of Frost and his staff’s lack of player retention.- 1

Nebraska has recruited better and more talented players than several other B1G schools. That's a fact based on recruiting rankings. So yes we have "better players" at the start.
What's also a fact is these coaches haven't developed that talent AT ALL while they've been here. They've wasted years of development doing nothing!
Recruiting rankings don’t mean di@k if the players don’t stick with the program.
Take all those stars away that have left the program and those So called “top” classes don’t look so hot. -

According to this tweet, TCU may be interested in Deion Sanders and Mike Norvell is out at Florida State. Could all just be speculation.
Also as a Cowboys fan I do see Kellen Moore getting a HC job after this season. He is a great offensive mind.
Jay Norvell is the head coach at Nevada. Mike Norvell is the head coach at FSU.

We’re so close to turning the corner! Blah blah blah! If I had a dollar for every time I’ve heard that.
That corner seems to be of a round table.

Exactly.
If. And I'm saying if Frost can get the offensive line figured out, we'll be fine. Our protection and missed blocks has Frost absolutely p!ssed.
When Frost says we're close, that's truly how close we are.
Just fixing the line is all we need? Yeah ok. Get your head out of the clouds. There are a litany of other issues that need fixed as well.

What sort of offensive scheme do you think Frost will/should adopt?
