  1. Via Jaquez Parks:

"Yes sir, Nebraska has started to show me some recruiting attention," Parks said. "Coach Fisher, he came up to the school today and he talked to me and it went well. He told me they weren't going to take more than one quarterback (in this class), but they have one with something going on and they are going to take on another quarterback now. He said it's between three of us and they are only going to take one of us. I know the quarterback they got had some problem with a concussion."

We also are showing interest in his teammate WR Tre Willis.

I don't understand this quote. If we are only taking one QB, does this imply we are backing off Darlington? Because I just don't think that is likely at this point.

    :dunno

Darlington is already on campus and enrolled this semester. So no
  2. It's just become funny anymore. Weak class and Slade was one of the few really good commits.

No clue what you're talking about. At all. So I'll do you a favor and tell you to shut up before you embarrass yourself.

You think this a strong class? We've got some decent players but it's a long way from being a big time class. Barely ranks in the top 40. Slade was one of the best commits we had. Nebraska should be doing much better.

You factor in that Harrison (MLB), Clinkscales (grades), and Darlington (brain injury) are all iffy and it looks weak.

Wow. Defensive End was the place that we could afford to lose a recruit since we are still on the lists of other solid DEs. Clink has scoffed at the rumors about him not getting to campus because of academics and if Darlington was in trouble of not playing again we would have another QB in this class. I am excited about this class and I am excited to see how it fills out. What is with all of the downer Huskers fans these days. Not saying Slade wasn't an exciting recruit, because he is, but I would have ranked him 4th out of our D-line commits (most scouting sites would agree).

Slade had the most upside in this class. A lot of experts said he had Gregory like talent. This is a huge loss and saying he was our 4th best D-line commit is absurd IMO. Hope we can close strong because we need it!!
  3. I honestly think he made his mind after going out and camping at Stanford on his own dime. You dont spend the money if your not interested. Then the husker offer came and pulled at his heart, but after taking his time to think about it he feels Stanford is a better fit for him. Just my opinion and I hope I'm wrong! Guess we all find out soon

  4. Going by his twitter account it doesn't look good imo. Don't like the tweets saying hes thinking and nervous. Guy was one of the first commits in this class and now is gonna bail close to two weeks before signing day is unbelievable!! Not what i'd classify as closing strong. Hopefully i'm wrong and he'll stick with us!!

  5. Ben Cotton being injured hurts the most imo. We have no TE's other than Reed that are ready. Marlowe and burkhead we have depth to pick up the slack.

One of our unready TEs scored a TD and had at least one other reception.

People don't realize how important cotton is to the running game. Yes Jake Long filled in well today but we need a healthy Cotton this year.
