Lots of us out here rooting for Mickey to be successful!

Huge difference of wanting him to be successful and clamoring the job is his.

Like I said some people will just have to be disappointed when he doesn’t get the job.

He is NOT the answer. Great man and husker forever, but that’s it.

Auburn interested in Tom Herman and Todd Monken, two guys I had on my list.

They will enjoy firing them in 3-4 years too?

I’m kidding, but maybe not. Lol

No head coach that’s sane will take that job after what they did to Harsin.

They want to be Bama and Georgia so bad and in return act like complete idiots.

I like DeBoer, but holy cow people he's not even made it through one month at Washington.  Don't just pump the brakes, mash em through the floor.

The thing is DeBoer was good enough for Nebraska LAST year. He’s just proving it on a larger scale now.

Jim Leonhard baby. Dude is a hall of fame coach waiting for his first job. My favorite candidate this cycle. The guy has “it”.

Elite teaching and developmental skills, young and extremely hungry for success, an X’s and O’s wizard, and always has his guys ready prepared. All the traits you saw with Stoops.

Rumor has it he’s a lot higher on the board than people realize.

Another name I wish we'd see mentioned more is Todd Monken... not sure why he doesn't get more attention? Coached at Southern Miss and took a 1-11 program to 9-5 in 2 years, has NFL experience, and has coached with some great coaches such as Brian Kelly, Kirby Smart, & Mike Gundy. He currently makes $2-mil a year as Georgia's OC.

    That better be option Q.

Frost was one of the hottest coaching names in the country when he arrived here. It was no surprise to see him recruit in the teens, and reinforces my claim that we need a coach with name value who can recruit top names to Lincoln. Campbell doesn't have it.

If Campbell wins 8-9 a year at Nebraska his classes are top 25 at minimum. Easily

Top recruiting classes mean jack s#!t if you fail to develop and retain said players.

If Leipold wins 9 games at Kansas, I'll be impressed. Campbell has only accomplished that feat once at ISU. Let's see how it plays out.

I completely agree. The season is young, I’m sure more candidates will emerge as the season progresses.

Me either but we are wrong to say that bc with better resources come better results or give them a chance bc we don't know what they are going to do  Urban Meyer said it best and I hate to use him has a example but Nebraska throughout the years have lost their footprint in Texas and California. I wonder why that is??? Bc our coaches weren't great recruiters. You need those kids from those areas to use as a platform. While I do think the Matt Campbell and Lance Leipold's can coach I just don't think they can bring in talent to consistently keep up. But me and you are wrong to think that way.

The one thing people need to remember is 8-9 wins at Iowa St. or Kansas recruits a lot different than 8-9 wins at Nebraska.

You win that many here and it almost guarantees you a top 25 class. If you’re good at developing and hit on a lot of recruits in a class or 2 then the future is really bright.

Nebraska and their fans are ok with not competing for Championships. They just want 9 wins and that's fine. If your coach can consistently win 9 games and take us to any bowl you should just be happy with the results. I will never give in to that thinking. You are selling yourself short if you do that.

The problem is you have to win 9 before you can win more. That’s been lost in Lincoln for a LONG time.

The difference is that Campbell hasn't had the level of success at ISU that he had at Toledo, whereas Meyer had great success at every one of his stops.

Thing that people need to remember is Urban was at 2 spots that recruit for themselves in Florida and Ohio St. Quite a bit different here.

If you’re gonna make the argument for Les Miles and Nick Saban at LSU same goes for Urban.

I guess you didn't notice my sig? If you can't get him - and it's highly unlikely - you better at least get someone with a proven track record who can recruit to Lincoln. My other top picks would be Aranda, Stoops, Gundy, DeBoer, Todd Monken, Jeff Lebby...

But Aranda is 16-10 overall and 9-9 in the big 12. Sure that’s good enough? Not much of a sample size.

LOL you must be kidding. Les Miles and Nick Saban went to LSU where there is 4 and 5* talent anywhere you look. Trust me, I live and work at a school here. Shazz Preston is currently at Bama. Saivion Jones at LSU. One of our WRs (Khai Prean) is committed to LSU. HUGE difference from Lincoln, Nebraska. If you don't see that idk what to tell ya.

Please tell me who is on your realistic list that is gonna be your magic man to get Nebraska back.

Not sure why. He's 44-34 in the Big 12, with 1 9-win season in Ames.

It doesn’t mean it’s gonna be a carbon copy of Iowa St. if he came here. That argument is just lame.

He could be better and could be worse here. Tons of variables go into that, but you can’t just say it’s gonna be a complete copy of what he did at Iowa St.

Les Miles and Nick Saban did just a tad better than they did at Oklahoma St. and Michigan St.

He was on the list for a few of us last year. I wish Trev would have fired Frost then and gone for a guy like Deboer.  Washington got themselves the next Jim Tressel.

What he did at Fresno was very impressive. He’s looking good at Washington too. Constant winner it seems.
