Some other Husker sites suggest Jake Garcia is the QB we want to get. I do remember seeing a flight to Miami last week when I was looking at the tracker for who our coaches might be.
I would take Garcia or their starter Van Dyke if either enter the portal any day.
Both are extremely talented and would immediately go close to the top of the list.

I did see on flight tracker a plane arriving late from Stillwater. Are we recruiting anybody there? If not, maybe going after their RB coach with that also used to coach special teams for LSU and Alabama...John Wozniak. Thoughts?

My guess it’s probably for an in-home with Hunter Anthony.
OL transfer we are after.

There were rumors that he had already enrolled at USM, but apparently not. Surprised that there's no word of him coming to visit. Dillon Gabriel from UCF is Kiffin's target QB in the portal.
Jeff Lebby going to Oklahoma hurts Ole Miss’ chance for Gabriel imo.

I’d imagine Chip going back to Oregon would throw a wrench into that plan.

Still say Dillon Gabriel should be our top target. He would kill it in Whipple’s offense.

This from the an article in March 2021:
Pitt’s tight ends combined for 10 catches for 100 yards over 11 games last season. In the ACC alone, four tight ends had 100-plus yards in a single game. Down in the SEC, Florida’s Kyle Pitts had three 100-yard performances.
BUT, when they got Lucas Krull in the transfer portal in 2021 he had 37 catches for for 443 yards and 6 TD's.
AA-38 receptions for 602 yards and 2 TD's
Looks like he uses the guys he has. Also seemed to improve their rushing game in 2021.
Dude isn't my fave pick, but he is better than anything Frost has had since he's been here. I'd really like to see an NU offense that is a Frost free OC. Just one guy making the calls.
Tight Ends we’re third and fourth on the team in catches on the year.
Like you said Whipple coaches to what he has and to me that’s a huge breath of fresh air from what we’ve had.

Well I think the Bears are ready to fire Nagy so the timing is probably good for Raiola to get out. Some speculate he could be fired if they lose this week.
As a bears fan they are firing him a year too late.
Guy has been an absolute train wreck.
The bears problems start way above the head coach though.
Terrible ownership all the way down to the head coach. All need to go!

Best plan is go get Greg Knox at Florida.
Was the RB/ST coordinator at Florida under Mullen and their interim head coach after Mullen was fired.
2 birds one stone lol

Accountability is easy when you have a good team with one player not doing what they are supposed to do like we've seen him do with Verge.
When every player on the team isn't doing what they are doing, it's pretty hard to sit the entire team.
Good Coaching is not letting it get to that point.

Not sure when I've fallen off the wagon faster. I gave Fred a pass the last two years because I didn't think he had much for options. We have options this year. You have control over who is on the court. You promote what you permit. If the guys who are out there aren't competing, taking bad shots and not running any semblance of offense, there is a remedy for that.
Accountability is a must when coaching any sport.
Fred lacks in this department imo.

Only 1 position left. Would rather has a st coach
I’d rather have Dawson move on and have Chinander take OLB and hire both a RB and ST.

Still holding out hope for a bomb recruiter and RB coach.

Seeing some Joe Brady to Miami as OC.
Cristobal is gonna put together a hell of a staff.

That was absolutely pathetic.
Fred and company should be embarrassed by that effort.

I know how to easily fix it but dont know if it will happen. You get rid of Dawson have Chins coach OLB (did it at Oregon) and let Busch be ST coord and Recruiting Coord. Then we sign a top 15 class next year.
Not with Ron Brown recruiting you don’t.
Why not just leave Brown at analyst where he should be?

Jeff Quinn OL coach at ND will not return to the school after their bowl game.
Rumored to be offered the OL job here.
Hmmmmm…..

Whipple was just in-home with Chubba Purdy (transfer from FSU) last night and offered him a scholarship to Pitt.
Interesting……..

Whipple just resigned from Pitt.
Will not coach in their bowl game.

Coaches up a Heisman candidate QB, wins the ACC at Pitt. Decides hey guys the best career move is going to Nebraska on a coach in a make it or be fired year. What could possibly be a better move for me?
Yeah doesn’t make much sense to me either.
Was just passing the info on.

So another “board” is reporting Whipple is the favorite. Thoughts?
Better than Harrell lol

The way it looks to me is ALOT of Hoiberg’s success at Iowa St was thanks to TJ Otzelberg.
Iowa St was absolutely awful last year.
Hired TJ back and now are rated.
For me the jury is still out on how good of a coach Hoiberg actually is.
Doesn’t matter how good you can recruit if you can’t coach them.
Miles would be killing it with this talent level already imo.

I wouldn’t spend too much time worrying about it anyways.
Believe me I’m not. I have a better chance of winning the lottery than him coming here lol

The only drawback to Brady is he absolutely HATES recruiting.
It was the main reason why he went to the NFL.
Plus he had one good year with an offense that had 7 people drafted.
Actually how good of a coach he is is a bit of a mystery to me.
