  1. Funny thing was, one of the women said that he has a great throwing arm, he just never knows where or who he is throw it to. His arm is actually really weak when it comes to throwing a football. Throwing a football and throwing a baseball are 2 different motions and styles. Most of his long balls are REALLY slow rainbows out to the middle of the Mojave Desert.
  2. I told everybody in the room I was watching the game with "Game over" as soon as Blowsaman came into the game. Everybody knows it. I really wouldn't be surprised if that's why the defense played so piss poorly as they were deflated that their QB was gone. It's tragic how bad that guy is. Half the people on this forum could step on the field right now and play better than him.......sadly not much of an exaggeration, because I know I could.
  3. lol!! OSU's defense is in a different galaxy than NW's. If even that close..... tOSU's defense is good, but not great. tOSU's defense is better than NW by a good margin. The problem for Nebraska is Northwestern's offense is MUCH MUCH MUCH better than tOSU's offense. They will get you into a scoring shoot out. Expect a 38-34 type of game. Don't underestimate the nerds. They play smart and inspired football week in and week out.
  4. On that note, I'd bet more people in the national media think of Nebraska as NU rather than Northwestern. The Big 10 media obviously doesn't see it that way. Who cares? I never thought of Nebraska or Northwestern as "NU". If anything I call them "Nebby" and "Nwestern".
  5. Not really. The guy is the worst QB in all of college football(all divisions) and there are 2 completely capable QBs behind him for what reason we can't begin to understand. I respect the guy as a hard worker and as a person, but at the end of the day, it's embarrassing that somebody that bad at the game of football can walk on to tOSU's football team.
  6. I'd be careful if I was you guys. Northwestern is a much better team than tOSU, especially with Persa back.
  7. Don't resign yourself to a loss just yet. We don't know if Jekyll or Hyde is going to show up today. If we can find creative ways to keep overmatched opponents in games, we surely can find ways to lose to OSU. I'm just hoping for an injury-free game and a solid Husker performance. It doesn't matter if you roll in as Bethune Cookman. tOSU won't win with this staff. Trust me.....you will laugh at how bad it is. Like I said.....
  8. Hate to say it as a tOSU fan, but I really doubt tOSU wins another game this season if Braxton is out for the season. tOSU is that bad.
  9. Fairweather?.....no Willing to pay and drive all the way to Lincoln just to watch tOSU's painfully bad coaching staff get destroyed by another team?.........no.
  10. This is hardly a "primetime" game. tOSU is a bottom 25 team right now.

  12. Tressel was a mediocre and very overrated coach in himself. I was glad to see him gone and the offense was mediocre while he was there. The only thing keeping his offense afloat with Bollman and Tressel's playcalling was superior athletes to bail him out. After watching his idiotic coaching against elite competition, he proved he was a fraud of a coach. tOSU just needs to get a legit coach in there for once. I am not a TOSU expert because in the past I am a Husker/big12/8 fan. That said TOSU has had a good run and I think coaches do matter ..... Even the hated Notre Dame had good talent yet they sucked ........... and Billy C produced less than the talent that he had on the field. ....... I think at times talent eclipses coaches but to set up a program like like TOSU takes a very good coach. To bad about the suspensions I'd rather beat a team at full strenghth than one with players out. You take away the pseudo-NC game in 2002, and it's not as impressive. They beat up a K-State team that was lucky to make it into that Fiesta Bowl. Smashed ND, but ND sucked anyways and was just as overrated as they always are. They got crushed by Florida almost exclusively because of how horrible the coaching was. Went on to choke away the 2007 season against Illinois and LSU also because of poor coaching. The Texas loss in 08 was alright....they actually coached that game decently well, but lost. Got blasted by a weak USC team both years they played due to HORRIFIC coaching. Beating Oregon in the Rose Bowl was nice, but after seeing Oregon against elite teams, it's pretty obvious they are just a gimmick team and overrated. Tressel was a very mediocre and below average coach and for all of his "success" against weaker and vastly undertalented opponents in conference, he would size it up with getting massively exposed against teams that had similar talent. I don't think he ever beat a single team with similar talent outside of 02 Miami and maybe 06 Bichigan. I agree in part, but they did beat a decent Texas team too. Edit: I had to rethink this, 4 and 3 in BCS bowls and 81% winning certainly isn't "mediocre." He may not have won some of the games he should have, but he was not mediocre. And they actually destroyed that Texas team in Austin. I still agree in part, but the word "mediocre" needs to be changed. That Texas team was terrible early on with a true frosh QB and they lost to K State and A&M. On the other hand, that 06 team, was arguably the most talented team ever. The 05 game was a joke against Texas too. They blew that game by playing musical QBs with Smith and Zwick and their horrific playcalling otherwise that game is a W. The next week after that game, that 05 team was struggling against a poor San Diego State team and was being booed by the fans. Let's not forget the awesome collapse against Purdue. Jeff- Neither of your last two posts substantiates a "mediocre" moniker for Tressel. Losing some games here and there does not make one mediocre. I am not saying he was Woody Hayes, but Tressel's record is counter to mediocrity. It's pretty mediocre when he is losing games that he should win and the losses are almost exclusively due to coaching. There are some losses that weren't due to coaching, but the majority of them are because of piss poor coaching.

  14. During that time period, Dantonio was the Def. Coord. WR Coach Hazell is gone. The original QB coach is gone. This coaching staff has been a shell of it's original staff for quite some time. tOSU has never been known for good offenses outside of the 2006 team which was just loaded with talent all around.
  15. Yeah about that. USC in those years had talent to run circles around most teams in the country. Those Buckeye teams were not even close to the talent levels that were residing in LA. The Oregon thing is also a crock. They would run circles around all but two, maybe three team(not so much now with James out). But seriously only LSU, Bama, and MAYBE, MAYBE Oklahoma could run with the Ducks. USC had a true freshman QB in 09 and a mediocre offense and team in general. They still pulled out a W in Columbus. The game in 08 wasn't surprising they lost........it was surprising when you get HUMILIATED though. The Oregon thing is not a crock. Let's face it....the PAC whatever blows. Oregon has lost to Boise, LSU, OSU, and Auburn in rather convincing fashion. Basically, whenever they play a "legit" team, they lose.
