  1. I agree. I've seen him completely whiff on a block and the player he missed end up making a TFL. Choi was dominant in the Washington game. Way better than anything ARod has done. Ironically, Washington was our best game. I have yet to see ARod make one block that has stood out. Not so for Choi.
  2. i don't have the grand jury transcript in front of me, nor the facts. However, if it is apparent that he has a lot of guilt in this situation, there is no way that they could let him remain for the rest of the season. It would be Penn State sending yet another message that the victim comes second. Not a good message to send.
  3. This whole incident is such an incredible black eye to Penn State. JoePa was the one who announced this was his last game, not the University. My bet is that prior to Saturday, JoePa will be forced out. If he truly was derelict in his duties (which it sure looks to be), then there is no way that they could let him finish out his tenure.
  4. And west of there too! Got me on that one! I meant west.
  5. Everybody east of Portland, Maine not named Cotton knows that Choi is the single best lineman we have. After ARod stunk up the joint again in the first half, Choi cleaned up his mess in the second half. I wanted to lose my lunch when I read these notes about ARod: "After getting benched in the third quarter of Saturday's loss, left tackle Yoshi Hardrick and left guard Andrew Rodriguez are battling through an intense week to retain their starting jobs. On Monday, Rodriguez agreed. He didn't see the usual fire last Saturday from the starting five. "We just beat ourselves," he said. "It was a little bit of everything. Not being focused. Lack of energy. Lack of effort. Everything." Roridguez, who said he watched film of the game the minute NU staffers posted it on the Internet for players to see, wasn't surprised he was taken out in the third quarter and replaced by Seung Hoon Choi." This is ridiculous. Rodriquez has had motivation problems most of the season, but he keeps getting the job handed to him. Choi is way better. Tired of Cotton playing favorites. Give the spot to the guy who earns it, not to the guy who kisses your rear end for two years straight to earn brownie points.
  6. Plus why should Joe believe some grad assistant over a defense coach that he has known much longer? It's like saying that a friend you had known for a very long time had done something terrible and yet some new guy comes up and tells you he did do something bad and yet you will believe the new guy? I think not. People always get a sense of something more could've been done after the fact. I'm sorry, but this is just plain stupid. What would have been the motive for the grad student to so graphically lie? Would Joe expect Sandusky to tell him the truth? When something this shocking occurs, you have to take extraordinary measures to investigate.
  7. I forget who it was, but somebody had a great post yesterday. The post showed that half our staff is comprised of first year coaches, and that a ton of our players are freshmen or sophomores. We are very, very young, with a very new staff. They'll be fine next year.
  8. For all of you whackos calling for Bo's head, let's compare Bo to several other coaches after four years. Bo likely will end this year at 10-3. As such, here are the records of Bo v. other coaches after four years: Bo - 39-15 Saban - 25-22-1 Miles - 28-21 Callahan - 27 - 22 I hope that the Bo naysayers will just shut their mouths and let this man do his job.
  9. Bo has no idea how to get his team up against any other team. In 4 years Bo's teams have played fewer than 5 games where they were focused and intense both sides of the ball all 4 quarters --- one was last week against MSU... but that was the first one in 15 games or so. No... Bo rarely ever has his team playing intense , focused football. Agree, Bo has only won 9, 10, 10, and (likely) 10 games this year. What a complete loser.
  10. Bo's fine. He's growing. We'll finish 9-3 and play in the Gator Bowl. If we win, that will be good. Starting next year, the talent level will get better. Bo will progress. I have no desire to throw Bo out. What, do you want Turner Gill to take over? Look at Tennessee and Colorado. Those are ship wrecks. Be thankful that you are worried about a 7-2 record for a team that plays hard each week and that we haven't become Tennessee and Colorado. We all knew in our heart-of-hearts that this year was not the year. Way too much youth on the line and too much talent lost on the D. Next year will be different. I'm fine with Bo staying so long as he keeps winning 9 games. If he turns in a NC every 7 years, we'll be happy. Need I remind you that Callahan's 4th season was the infamous 2007 season. Keep that in mind when you start claiming that our 4th year coach is blowing it.
  11. The amazing thing is that in the Washington game, we freely substituted and had our best game of the year. The next week, we went back to playing only the starting 11. Whatever happened to getting fresh bodies in? I love Bo and glad he's here, but he needs to sub more. I think he's trying to teach his guys to man-up when they are injured, but that doesn't work. As for Choi, in the Fresno State and Washington games he was all-world. Since then, we've barely heard from him. Stupid.
  12. If MSU wins our half of the conference, what is our likely bowl? Who would be our opponent?
  13. If we can lose to Northwestern, Wisconsin could whack us again. I'd just as soon as have MSU win out so we can avoid getting killed again by Wisconsin. We just aren't ready for the next level this season. Next year will be our year.
  14. I panicked and paid $14.95 to watch the game on the BTN live stream on my computer (My cox cable in San Diego doesn't have the BTN). After I paid my $14.95, I was required to have the game streamed via Cox Cable - - which doesn't have the BTN. $14.95 down the drain. Maybe it's better that I don't get to see it.
  15. I was so unconcerned about today, that I took the wife shopping (I don't have the Big 10 Network in San Diego, either). Can somebody give me a quick summary of why we are losing?
  16. So, if we were to prevail say.............51 -24.........would THAT be a blowout ? If they move it on us consistently with a mobile QB and make the freshly laundered blackshirts look less than dominant....................is there any amount of points that we can score that would fit the definition of a blowout ? Just interested in your opinion............... A blowout occurs when the backups are in . . . early in the 4th. Score wise, it would have to be by at least 24.
  17. We'll know we are officially back when we regularly start blowing the Northwesterns of the world out. I don't like how Boise State plays a wimpy schedule, but, I"ll say this for them, they always destroy teams that they are supposed to beat. Once we start doing likewise then we'll be back (that, and if we start beating top 5 teams!).
  18. AH, just pretend that TM is really Matt Turmon. We need to keep our offense very vanilla for the remainder of the year. Let's just keep running. No need to pass. Bad things happen when we pass a lot. 10-12 passes a game should get it done in just about every game left in the regular season. Sad but true. With our defense finally checking in, if we can put 24 on the board each game we'll win them all. Don't forget, Bama only scored 27 against PSU.
  19. Yes, what you do mean? I shouldn't have joined another board or do you think I said something bad in my post? Welcome, Cactus. Glad to see you got off the ship. Appreciated your work as a mod on HP.
  20. Yeah, this is pretty bizarre It's crazy, I feel like I only recognize half the posters now. You'll get used to us. We had some really good posters on HP. Glad to see they have made the switch. We aren't a clique. We are here to fit in and just talk Husker football.
