Looks like USC is going to have a tough schedule next year. Their ooc games are LSU, San Jose st and then Notre Dame. Then into BIG play.
those are two really tough games to start
Well USC vs LSU at neutral site (Sunday Sep. 1 - Las Vegas Allegiant Stadium)
And last USC schedule, Nov. 30, Notre Dame at USC
Caleb William will play or skip NFL draft ?? Or else portal transfer .... USC ==> NU !!
-
Uh oh .....
Tonight, Western Kentucky 35 La Tech 7 at half time. At Ruston, Louisiana
Huskers 28 La Tech 14 final score.
Concern ??
BTW, my guess less than 5000 attendees. Probably less ....

Ducks ..... need to cancel one 2024 non-conference schedule. Probably FCS Idaho.

Other than NW, all are games that mean something. Must win for NU. Next up in the West, Iowa and PurDon’t. We get to see who Maryland, Wiscy and Rutgers really are. Little Brown Jug, which is the one trophy with a cool story behind it.
Remaining Huskers 2023 schedule, I believe all NU underdogs. Even North by Northwest game.
Bret's airplane chasing Matt
Of course change week-by-week but right now, Composite rankings (81 inputs) ...
- Illinois #77
- NW #78
- Huskers #80
That is why Illinois favored by 3.5 points. (Huskers vs Illini contest)

Portal addition ..... we need one good QB with no turnover machine history. And a couple of OL's too.

Guys.
We may have to start winning.
Most likely, one win or two .... NW and Purdoo victories. Luckily at home.
4W-8L.
No bowl streak will continue ....

Chances are they may have to move on from many of the starting OL, however unless they can upgrade from the portal it's unlikely. I can see an additional QB leaving the team depending on how aggressive they are with portal additions.
Who else is likely?
Get rid of Portal Lists
Like Prime Sanders ....

Challenging task !!! Can't wait. Teams/Dates/Time announced later this year ?? I assume no division and at least one protect rival (annually). Like Huskers-Iowa rival.
Myself, eliminate one non-conference opponent. Thus 10 B1G teams instead of 9 ...... i.e. cancel FCS N.Iowa. Or else NCAA gods will change from 12 regular schedule to 13 (unlikely)
Before Ducks and Huskies.... (no longer exist)
My proposed B1G FLEX MODEL SCHEDULE. (Added Ducks and Huskies)
Now ALL B1G teams, 5 at home, 5 away

Maryland is a big case of 'look at who they've played'. Virginia is winless, Michigan State fired their HC, and Indiana just fired their OC, and might fire their HC at the end of the season. They play Ohio State next, and, well...
True but win is a win. 5W-0L. Made #26 both Coaches poll & AP. Massey Composite, #23 ...... Huskers, #82.
Last year bowl, Turtles beat N.Carolina St. Wolfpack ..... key Terps players, return including QB Tau

I don't think we get to a bowl game.
The key thing, Huskers at Michigan State, November 4. And Terps .... more powerful than I initially thought. Probably Mike Locksley will award Coach of the Year.

October and go 3-1. October and go 2-1. October 14 .... bye week. -

Agreed... lets get these next 4 wins and get a bowl game under our belt..
Honestly not likely. I'm afraid SEVEN consecutive years NO BOWL streak
Right now, look at Massey Composite Ratings. ALL underdogs (gambling guy):
- Illini #75
- Northwestern #77
- Purdue #58
- Michigan St #72
- Terps #23
- Badgers #24
- Iowa #33
- Huskers #82
-
I think last West division race.
2024 ..... no more West division ???

Probably wrong but ZERO wins against fat Bret Bielema (Wisky ==> Illini)

Nebraska football is dead. I never thought I would get to the point where I dont watch til the end of the game, let alone an entire half. Donors need to save their money on this ridiculous $450 million stadium project. Its pointless, it means nothing when people wont show up and people need to stop showing up. The program is a money pit.
Plus $165 million North Expansion Project. Buyout $$ was/is pennies.

And yes, the west is absolute trash. I’m still optimistic that the can find 4 more wins. A bowl feels like a Natty at this point.
Probably next weekend, we are an underdog .... Huskers @ Illinois (Friday night). Massey Composite: Nebraska #79, Illinois #60.
Battle of last place ....
