Why wouldn't the NCAA know what's it doing and why wouldn't they not have the capacity to enforce it???
Have you paid attention to any of the feeble impotence of the NCAA recently?

You would think that if it's a grey area and other schools are currently doing that for their recruits the NCAA would have already cracked down on it so you don't have abundance or overload of institutions violating rules. I don't understand the harm if a recruit is shown what kind of nil deals he could potentially have by going to a certain school. He couldn't receive any of the benefits before going to that school anyways. Nebraska wants to be the leader in providing nil deals for their students but at the same time shoot themselves in the foot by limiting or not showing a kid how a nil deal can benefit or change their lives. It makes no sense.
You are making the fatal and erroneous assumption that the NCAA knows what it's doing, AND has the capacity to enforce anything....

I'm always surprised the pitching coach has such a long leash with his starters. Especially when it's obvious when a guy doesn't have his stuff early. Case in point (again) when yesterday's starter begins with a walk and a hbp, why wait until your deeply behind.....especially with a roster of 19 or 20 arms.....??

Is Nebraska still the favorite here?
I think they've played it so close to the vest that no one can be considered a favorite.

Surprised Nebraska isn’t on the list if he’s a top priority
Wasn't the rumor today that Fred was flying out there for an in-person visit today...?

That's frustrating.
I understand that bashing and rehashing last year is pointless and frustrating; but MAN, there were some curious decisions...

I wonder if they gave any thought to playing another one tonight, since the forecast for severe weather and snow tomorrow is not promising.....

I believe I read it's only on espn plus......

Fantastic. BIG+ again. My favorite thing on the world.
Understand the frustration, but honestly I've had the Plus for years and it's not a bad deal. It's like 80 bucks a year if you only want Nebraska content, and around 120 for everybody in the Big Ten; but when I count all of the women's basketball, some wrestling, and a TON of baseball, I figure it's a decent bargin for the content. ( of course a lot of the announcers are students from respecting universities so it's not a great quality broadcast but at least it's visually available.
Just a thought...

I get it from his point of view, but if he was more consistent as a three point shooter, he'd get plenty of PT as a 3 & D guy. I think he would have played 15+ minutes per game next year.
Never progressed as any type of consistent offensive threat

No matter the opponent, pitchers still have to be able to throw the ball over the plate.

That didn’t go as planned. Just looking at this, it appears our pitching fell apart.
Might have left the starter in too long.....

Absolutely agree.
Overtly confident in his ability to get a lead and ride him out. The missed TD in the first hurt, but couldn't ride him long enough to get riding time anyway...

Double sweet because of the opponent.

Huskers not named Jaz Shelly were 13/43 (from the field 30.2%), including 5/18 (27.8%) on threes.
4/14 from Markowski doesn't win many post-season games.
The big picture may offer some consolation. These recurrent slow starts probably meant they weren't going to beat Indiana. A probable NIT bid might reward a home game.

Typical slow start tough to recover from. Just frustrating to not be ready for the press..

Every win is a good win.
But, that was sloppy.
Mice to see them get a win in a game where Tominaga and Walker weren’t clicking.
Sam is going to be fun to watch in coming years.
Sam Hoiberg epitomizes what this program needs to be.

I'm thinking that (out of solidarity with his fellow coaching brethren Bolt), that Fred emulates his record by playing a 1-3-1 defense today against the Golden Rodents

In a season of myriad story lines,
Sam Hoiberg is a Keeper.
Savvy, solid and CLUTCH....
