One common factor. Huskers offense has not been as good since Haiby has returned. She needs to get her shots & is not a facilitator.
Coinciding with the loss of Weiner

I remember when gas was under $1
I'll never forget it. It's a great memory. I do, however, refuse to use that pricing as a baseline for my expectations. Things change...remember the past, be grateful if the present ever comes close to great memories, don't expect it to repeat itself.
Yesterday's history,
Tomorrow's a mystery,
Today is a gift,
That's why they call it.. the Present

Sound like Bandoumel will be out for an extended period of time, if not the season.
I have cooled on Fred quite a bit, but have to admit he's had a ton of bad luck with injuries.

Sounds like the Northwestern game is going to get postponed. That would be the third Northwestern game to get postponed due to their current COVID outbreak.
But it may only get moved back one day (to the 25th) in our case.
Good thing Warren took the time to get the COVID policy updated before fleeing the coop...

Of course! How many games in a row has the Husker name on the schedule elicited a magic recovery for an opposing player?

Surprised Fred didn't ask for a clock reset after Boandomul (sp?)was fouled because he went ahead and made the shot before they whistled the play dead and that might have left enough time that Tominica shot would have counted.....??

When you hang your hat on defense, and are so offensively challenged, and you don't even close out on your home court vs. 3's......
It's pretty tough to defend Hoiberg in year 4.....Trev may have to shift some focus and money onto a new basketball coach.

23 foul shots, 16 by IL. Refs are making this hard to watch
Our lack of offense is making this hard to watch....

Third straight game they are slow out of the gate ...two of the three only five points in the first quarter! Ah, that might be a trend Amy needs to look at is they are obviously NOT ready to play...

Despite the hyper- inflated angst among all of us who believe we know "better" about recruits and coaches.............
I trusted Trev and now I trust Rhule....

I'm not sure if this qualifies under the rumor heading, But with Carolina being eliminated from the playoffs today, does that mean that Rhule will be announcing his final staff additions shortly?

Wow….that overtime was horrible. Sad, because the rest of the game, they played well.
No leaders willing to step up....

I’m not expecting to make a bowl. But, I disagree that there is no chance make a bowl.
Even though I agree with all of the logical rationale laid out about the difficulties of a first year, I believe if we can go at least 1-1 with the two opening road games and get our feet wet, I think the schedule does facilitate a great opportunity to go bowling. So at the risk of sounding overtly Kool-Aid -ish, I am expecting a bowl.

Interesting number, if I recall correctly 31 and a half was the exact point spread for Iowa basketball over Eastern Illinois a week ago when they shattered the record for futility in a mind-blowing loss.

Is Adrian not playing against Alabama? Has he been officially done for the year? I know he was dealing with a injury. I turned it on right before the first half was over and it looks like Alabama is taking over.
He's been in for a couple of token plays.

Glad to see we seem to have gotten rid of the height requirement for offensive and defensive lineman.
Too late to resurrect Zateka.??

The longer this takes for WR coach seems like it was Mickey's job until his conduct took him out of the running.
Rhule has confirmed he WAS interested in offering Mickey before the arrest. No way to know if the contract details would have been acceptable to Mickey but it's obviously a moot point.
Pretty sure that the wide receiver coach is known but waiting until current team is eliminated

That was the worse half of basketball we've played.
And it was a low bar to attempt.

I like Rhule over Fickell because he has that PROVEN record of resurrecting destitute programs rather than continuing or advancing solvent programs.

Or, we make more of our shots and aren't in that situation at the end...
You mean like missing the front ends of one and ones...?... or that disastrous dumpster fire of six consecutive misses with close looks in the final minutes...

I thought when we had several opportunities in set 4, that our attack settled for soft rolls and pushes rather than maintaining an attacking mode.........jmo..........

An argument could be made that Raiola is not a bad coach, but (especially without Nouili & Prochazka) he just didn’t have the horses. We just don’t know (for sure). A current Ohio St. commit (named Raiola) switching to Nebraska might also hang in the balance. As a coach, he MAY deserve at least another year’s evaluation, under a new HC & OC.
I've been making the same argument about Raiola. I honestly have no way of evaluating him because he had neither the numbers nor the talent to work with. They actually struggled with even having enough bodies to field a complete o- line some games. So while it's easy to affix blame to the position coach, we actually have no idea what he might have done with even a modicum of athletic talent and sufficient competitive numbers. Maybe he just isn't very good, but how do we know that because of the circumstances?

OT Jacob Hood -> Nebraska

Potentially down the road a better outcome than Rouse? Rouse only had one year left and would miss spring with shoulder surgery, whereas Hood has multiple years to develop, as well as adding depth.
Is that a whimsical Stretch ??
