Unfortunately we may need to strike the portal quicker than Brady is ready to make a decision. Sallis, McCollum and Wrightsell are all still in play and have at least a year of D1 ball experience. If two of the three want in then to me I would pass on Brady.

I guess it's a good thing Trev shut down the football program all those years ago. Maybe he should have nixed the baseball program too!

13 runners left on base and we only need 3 runs to go ahead.

Since it will be a long time till he commits and even longer till he graduates our best chance is to show progress the next couple of years and make ourselves more attractive to top players like him.

It just chaps me that with all the division 1 players that have come out of this state in the last 3 or 4 years that the Huskers don't even get a sniff. Only 2 Nebraska players on the roster this season .....one transferred here for his senior season and the other is a walk-on coaches son. I understand the causes....it still grinds my gears.

As much as I had hoped that Dylan would pull the trigger and commit early, I'm wondering if he is realizing that upon coming to Nebraska his every move would be analyzed and everywhere he went he would be a spectacle. The bigger sales job and challenge for this coaching staff is attracting the 4 and 5 star OL and DL that will in turn attract the high school skill positions instead of having to acquire them through the portal. Brandon Baker would be the spark the program needs to a quicker rebuild. If not then this coaching staff better be as good at development as we've been told they are.

Dad played at UNK in the 90s.
Also looking to visit Tennessee, Oklahoma and Penn State. Colorado also recruiting him hard.
His dad is a huge Husker fan and is "encouraging" Gage to head to Lincoln.

One of the teams in the NCAA's yesterday had brought in 3 or 4 NIL players so they must have picked 3 good ones.

Didn't see that one coming. Was rooting for Purdue actually largely because of Edey. Still pretty cool to see a team like FDU get the huge upset in the tourney.
Purdue was cursed because they have choked in several recent tournaments. Somewhere in the back of their mind was a hint of doubt that grew to a giant beanstalk by the middle of the 4th quarter. I worried their young guards would feel their butts biting their shorts if the game was close. It's shame because I liked Purdue. They needed to bring in a portal guard this year.

To me the top priority for Coach Bolt is to be the best team in the state not the third best.

That was such a satisfying win! Beating Iowa in football and twice in basketball has been a long time coming. I could get used to this.

You are right he may not (or may be) an AF brat. Whether he is or not, some athletes in Omaha have a mindset to leave and look for opportunity elsewhere. Not a thing wrong with it either even though it gives some Husker fans the hives.

Any particular reason why?
Bellevue is home to SAC AFB and families from all over the country move there. Many don't necessarily see Lincoln as a better destination than Maryland, Miami or Oregon.

How fitting that the basketball team just like the football team has to go to Iowa to finish the regular season. I'm hoping the boys have a few good games left starting with the Squakeyes.

It is great to see them play with confidence. Their defense is solid and they are finding offense by moving the ball. I wish we had Griesell and Walker back next year.

KT getting open to make some threes and Blaise K playing lock down defense was the difference in the last 10 minutes of the game and the overtime. I was down on those two a few weeks ago but they proved me wrong.

He may be capable at his craft.....but I have underwear older than him.

If the staff can get this young man to visit Nebraska then all bets are off. He may just see something he likes and want to be a part of it. He seems like a more athletic Jordan Westerkamp.

It's going to be difficult to pull this young man away from BYU or Utah.

If Jason was enrolled and going through weights right now with the team and having the benefit of spring practice I would have put him in as a sleeper.

Four transfer portal guys: WR Josh Fleeks and Billy Kemp, Edge MJ Sherman and OL Ben Scott. 2 freshmen: Edge Princewill Umanmielen and WR Malachi Coleman. Sleepers are OLB Cam Lenhardt, DL Riley Van Poppel and DB/LB Eric Fields

Jerod was in Lincoln Saturday watching the linebackers/D ends practice. Says he will declare a top 5 very soon and wants to commit before his season starts. He said his brother has Nebraska ranked high but also that it's possible they could choose different schools.
