Trying to think of a hollower victory.
Maybe the OT one against Ball St
There have been many since Solich left.

South Alabama coach this past week: "You can't stop Adrian Martinez"
South Alabama defense: "Hold my beer"
It looked like they could have stopped us while holding their beer ... maybe with a beer in each hand

I hate feeling frustrated after a win but guess today is one of those days. A win IS a win.
Beats the heck out of a loss where we looked really good

Offensively Frost's run game play calls have been very basic today. Mostly just basic inside & outside zone.
That doesn't explain Adrian Martinez's play today. He is slow, hesistant, and just not himself.
Any even more conservative as time has passed. Absolutely nothing to confuse the defense.

Saying it now for the record. Martinez is hurt. No way he plays this sh!tty healthy. No way.
We need to let Luke M get some reps. We may need him this year

I know it’s been said 100 times this game, but why is Martinez so tentative?
I heard he kicked a locker after Frost took his phone away

Is Mangino coaching their D?

Do we go for it?

AM looks slower

Wish he had returned it for a TD
No, our O needs the practice

Come on defense save us again. Get the ball back.
As you wish

I hope the offense actually comes prepared from here on out. They just seem to be going through the motions. Lots of potential but crap execution
They look much better with MF at center. Even Mills busted through ... before fumbling. AM is OK when making quick decisions. I wonder if Frost game him more of the playbook, and he is taking to long to process decisions (I thought I saw him blink, and it was a real slow blink)

Think Frost is gonna have to start jumping over to help the defense.
Frost need to drop the rain jacket and put on jersey #2

Spoiler
Our D is more likely to score than our O anyway. What are you guys worried about?

Don't pull the starter when the game is still in question.
Unless it is the starting RB, and your super sophomore was killing it

AM got rid of the ball fast. That is good, when he parks in the pocket, he is struggling today.

Worse. Last year AM looked fast and talented. He looks like s#!t today
I hope it is a minor injury or a bug. Sometimes players lose their speed when they gain weight. I had a friend that at 5' 10" and 140 pounds, could dunk a basketball and run like crazy. When he got to 170, he couldn't even tough the rim, and the weight was all muscle.

I think the offense will find a way. This is not Frosts standard. Its encouraging we are winning our first game because of our other phases
That is the good news. If I had to pick between D, O and ST on where to struggle, I would pick the O because I have the most confidence Frost can fix it.

Thank goodness for the defense today.
It has been a long time since anyone said that ... other than opposing coaches

Just for clarification's sake: Luke McCaffery is not the backup quarterback. He might barely be the 3rd stringer at this point.
My guess is that officially he is not the #2 because the goal is to redshirt him. If AM get hurt, mu guess is that Luke M. is starting.

Mo looked great the few carries he had. MF looks good enough at center. This offense cannot function with an inaccurate QB that picks the wrong target and is hesitant to run. If we get the old AM back we roll. AM looks more like last year's Bunch than last year's AM.

Martinez is holding onto the ball way too long. Just way too tentative. Doesn't have the swagger or confidence he had last year.
It makes you wonder if he doesn't have a minor injury, or a cold.

I don't see how we stay ranked. Our stats are horrible with the exception of turnovers and return yards
