  1. what an entertaining beatdown this was. it looks to me like a loose cannon was eliminated before he could hurt anyone. p.s. i like the new SN I was given...not too shabby.
  2. Unfortunately, not everyone is tolerant of people who are different. Fortunately the Klan has lost most of its influence in America. what does the KKK have to do with Mr. Madow? The KKK is made up of people who judge others based on a race, religion, etc. Your posts indicate that you have the same metality. Wow, I wish I could say I was surprised. Stay classy Sub, stay classy. he's the king of personal insults. saying a poster has the same mentality as the KKK...wow! i didn't mean to hit a nerve by calling Madow a dude but apparently I did.

The KKK is made up of people who judge others based on a race, religion, etc. Your posts indicate that you have the same metality. metality? saying someone looks like a dude is comparable to the KKK? you're a bit out there sub, that's for sure.
  4. They are professiononals and don't aways act as such. It's not uncommon to come across a bully/power abusing cop...and there are degrees to this. There are many great cops. My uncle is a great guy and I'm sure he was a great cop when he was one in Dallas. I'm witnessed great police work too. Earlier someone mentioned the circle the wagons that many cops do when any of them come under attack. This just throws fuel on the fire. Often instead of just admitting when other cops mess up...it's common for them (in my experience) to do the "mone along...nothing to see here". Again, this is just adding fuel to the fire no matter what profession it happens in. You did the same thing when you came into this thread to a small degree. You assumed it was I that did something more than I was saying...or there was more to the story...as if the cops couldn't have done anything wrong or questionable. Later when backed into a corner you did say IF the story happened as I stated than they could have acted better. As a professoinal I would have expected that to happen at the start. Instead of providing cover for bad cops...good cops should hold them accountable IN PUBLIC. Afteralll it's those cops that give you all a bad rep. When I was visiting my retired cop uncle in Dallas it was the time of the story of a cop holding up a driver that made a wrong turn while he was on his way to see his dying mom at the hospital...he made him stay outside the hospital while he lectured him..even after a hospital employee said his mom was dying. The guy never made it in time to see him mom before she died. When I saw the story w/ my uncle, right away he said the cop handled it very poorly. He made no excuses and that was that. I posted this story on HP and the resident cop there made every excuse for the cop. It also keeps the ashes hot when it seems cops rarely receive any significant consequences when they do wrong. Sort of like bad teachers. Maybe it's a union thing w/ cops too? I realize it can be a grueling job and maybe the pay isn't great. But arethe benefits really good w/ great pensions and early retirement? Or is that in just some cities? It's also common to see videos of cops doing bad things and that just makes people think it happens a lot more when there are not cameras around. I'm sure many cops go through a lot, but that doesn't give them a free pass to do bad things. I understand the "you wouldn't understand unless you've been a cop". I hear and give the same excuse to peole that complain about how farmers treat animals. There is SOME validity to this excuse...but it's not 100% valid. For the farmers...it's not as bad as PETA people say, but it is bad/inexcusable at times to a degree. And let's face it...EVERYONE/group can use that excuse to an outsider as a way to excuse bad behavior. Let's set a few things straight here, 1. Quit trying to put words in my mouth and twist what I said to make it appear I supported you. I said, "I agree, if it came out as a illegal parking call then they should've left." However, I said earlier that I doubt the call came out as an illegal parking situation and it probably came out as something different to them. 2. I'm not going to say the cops messed up, for all I know they were completely in the right to be there. I don't know the whole story, only your side and I don't make decisions based on one side of the story. You may have just parked illegally and they may have overracted, but they also could've received the call differently or been there for something completely different don't know.......................I don't second guess anyone unless I know both sides of the story. 3. You didn't back me into a corner I doubt you could ever back me into a corner on a little argument like this. Again you are just trying to twist things to fit your story which you've done more than once on this board. 4. No the benefits aren't great I got the dwindling bank account to prove that due to medical bills from my children. 5. Never said cops get a free pass to do things because of what they've been through. Don't know where you got that.........................IMO this shows your biased for police coming through because you are trying to pull crap like this out of statements I may have made to fit your argument that police are bad. 6. It's obvious to me I could argue with you about the color of the sky and you'd do whatever you could to be right and say, "no it's yellow!" I could show you picture after picture showing you it's blue, but it wouldn't matter. You're gonna be right and I'm wrong...........cool, not an issue. fantastic post! and yes he's definitely biased against police.
  5. when cops mess up, it makes news. people care. that's not the same for most professions. there are a lot of a-hole cops, but most of them are not that way. they put their life on the line to protect others. there are a lot of videos of cops doing stupid crap. but theres also a lot of video of cops doing great things. and then you have the videos of cops losing their lives serving their community. think about those for a minute. quit focusin on the negative and looking for reasons to complain.
  6. Unfortunately, not everyone is tolerant of people who are different. Fortunately the Klan has lost most of its influence in America. what does the KKK have to do with Mr. Madow?
  7. haha man that is funny. that driver probably thought he was being straight with the cop and the cop was being a d******d for no reason.
  8. to get accepted as a LPD cop you have to pass a written test, physical test, psychological test, polygraph and oral board interview.
  9. a few months? you are listing just the FTO program, what about the academy? there was a show on A&E called Rookies, it followed young cops as they rode with their FTO for like 6 months. that was only after a 6 month long academy. how many jobs require a year of training before you can start working? not a whole lot. some departments probably require a college degree, but if we make that mandatory, we probably will have to start paying cops more. are you okay with paying cops more? by your tone, I doubt you are. the best way to avoid contact with cops is to not break a law.
  10. i don't mind someone saying hannity is extremely biased and that its evident in his commentating...it is. but that dude Madow is no different
  11. i think every department should have dashcams. but that would probably cost tax payers some mula.
  12. you took my seat so i grabbed the first one available. its totally your fault
  13. yeah anyone should have the right to video tape anyone IMO, if its in a public place. you should be able to record a cop definitely.
  14. LOL What was your name on HP and why did you change it to my name on HP? You know the cop wasn't a dick? Funny because after court he talked to me and apologized for how he acted. and how wasn't I prepared for the case? I got he cop to admit the speed he estimatd for me could have been wrong because he had to speed up to pace me. The judge simply choose to uphold the ticket anyway. I wasn't sure what speed I was going at..it could have been over the limit, but I knew it wasn't as fast as the cop said. no offense, but i doubt that happened. the way you roll, you would have definitely brought that up. What was your name on HP and why did you change it to the name I used on HP? this is my name on huskerboard. i like my name. i stopped posting in the cafe on HP years ago.
  15. The cops eneded up being great wing men. Because I had said I had some drinks earlier in the night they made me stay with her instead of leave. Which again makes it confusing as if to why they didn't at least give me a field test. Not to you, but if anyone thinks I could be a dick, wise ass, loud mouth, etc...ask someone that knows me first hand. At least HP/M peopel can. Ask Red Phoenix, Nems, or Sonuva. i absolutely think you can be those things, because we all can be. and interacting amongst friends at a tailgate is not the same as being contacted or approached by cops.

  17. You get what you give w/ me....be it on HB or in real life. The vast majority of time I'll even give benefit of the doubt the first time and ignore it. and I wasn't pulled over. They weren't even walking up to my car when I opened the door. If I got out or waited in my car had no affect on what happened. cops dont like you to get out of the car when they pull up behind you. you said you saw them coming and got out. a minor issue, but you should know its not something they like. i bet the cop has the same attitude: that you get what you give. he probably thought you were being an ass and that is why he gave it back to you.

  19. yeah, cactusboyOG is the same poster who had a similar problem with police a few years ago when they gave him a speeding ticket. he set up a court date (even after admitting he was speeding) and ended up being extremely unprepared. he felt like the cop had no right to give him a ticket and he claimed the cop was a dick even though he was not. a lot of times people don't realize when they are being rude to someone, especially when they're insisting they did nothin wrong. just sayin if you went into the encounter with the "i'm doing nothing wrong" despite you admitting you parked like one of those a-holes in the big trucks who think they can park anywhere...i doubt you were just some polite dude getting treated poorly by the police. i also doubt they were called to your location because you were illegally parked. someone probably saw a vehicle in the parking lot that was left running and for sum reason thought it was suspicious. or perhaps there had been burglaries in that area and a resident called when they thought u were casing the area when you said you couldnt find somewhere to park, and perhaps that resident became suspicious when they saw u drive up on a curb and no resident get out of the vehicle. when the cops contact you, change up your attitude. instead of always having the "but i did NOTHING WRONG!" attitude, u at the very least were parked up on the curb. a simple "my bad, i couldnt find a spot and i was in a hurry, i'll move it" probably would have made for a more pleasant counter.
  20. thanks, BIGREDIOWA. if most of us make a minor mistake at work, no one outside of our job gives a damn. if you make a minor mistake, we all bitch and moan about it non-stop. if i take a break at work, no one cares except maybe my boss. if you take a break at work, people assume you're lazy and are simply wasting tax-payer's money. a bad day at work for many of us might be printing out the wrong paperwork or being late for a meeting. a bad day at work for you might include holding a dying child in your arms, gitting spit on or shot at by some thug trying earn his keep in a gang. a lot of us don't want to see the police until we need them. we don't want to get a speeding ticket. we don't want to see you investigate us at night when all we think we're doing is illegally parking on a curb. but BRI, i thank you for what you do.
  21. what if the cops were called out to a suspicious vehicle? were there recent burglaries in the complex or area of town? maybe recent crime trends or sumthin? and there happened to be several cops in the area, and it was a slow night boys in blue tend to stick together. maybe they gave you a ticket for speeding, but you didnt think you were speeding TOO much and you want to go to court unprepared?
  22. Because you are a fraud and a troll. so how many more times will you run to the authoritahs and complain that i shouldnt be allowed to have my SN? it's funny how it offends you this much.
  23. He was denying blatantly obvious reality... a link to the story is easy to find. And I will not jump and find it for him when he decides to play dumb. like you are making a habit out of doing, you spout a lot of junk that you can't back up. you cannot provide a link where cops were arresting protesters for "complying with their orders" bc such link does not exist. you are reeling.
