  1. Johnny, you said you were going to find the numbers to support this allegation. Where are those stats in anything you've linked? Where are your stats, remember you saw a show that had the exact opposite numbers. You are so worried about my numbers but you haven't shown anything, what ya got, Knapplcy?
  2. Would you explain? I don't see a happy answer either way in this case. This ruling gives a blanket permission for every person arrested to be strip-searched. Body-cavity searched. This isn't just talking about gen-pop prisoners in the State Pen, we're talking about anyone even suspected of a crime being strip-searched. The potential for abuse is staggering. People arrested on a bench warrant for failure-to-appear can be strip-searched. We do not need to be checking the body cavities of every single person arrested and held for even a short time. It's completely unnecessary for many, many people. We cannot simply say we have probable cause to suspect that anyone being arrested may have concealed contraband in a BC. It's not realistic, and the police should not have that power. Sure, we can say that, in an abundance of caution, we want to make sure that nobody is carrying anything at all illegal into the county lockup. But the number of civil rights violations that are going to come from this do not justify that abundance of caution. For goodness' sake - our homes are now more sacrosanct than our bodies. That's bizarre. +1
  3. If they weren't so busy swimming in their vault full of riches, they'd realize Easter isn't until next Sunday. Don't lose your day job if you are trying to be witty. And who says they have to have an Easter egg hunt on Easter. All the Chruches around here have their Easter egg hunts on Palm sunday, there aren't any Easter egg hunts on Easter.
  4. I just wanted Carl to know the church does do some good things. We went to several Easter egg hunts this weekend. The people were so nice we went to one that had feee face painting, popcorn, drinks and, or course, the Easter egg hunt. We went to another that was just as wonderful. My children had a great time and I wanted people to know the time and effort many people from the chruch put into the community, they also have Easter dinner and many other efforts during this special time for Christians. Maybe Carl can start to focus a little on the good that the Church does instead of focusing in on the wrong that a few Priests do.
  5. That is so weird! I can't remember where I read it and I don't have the numbers on hand at the moment, but I was watching a show that said exactly the opposite of that. What are the odds? Where are your numbers, or were you lying to me? You did read that somewhere, right? Please show me your evidence, I would hope you could find it, thanks, knapplcy!!
  6. Johnny, you said you were going to find the numbers to support this allegation. Where are those stats in anything you've linked? Knapplcy, hope this will suffice!! http://articles.cnn....t?_s=PM:OPINION It's a good thing that our unemployment rate, which is dropping, is 1/3 that of Greece's, meaning that our economy as a whole is in far better shape than Greece's. But thanks for the links. They were great. You're welcome! Have a great weekend!!

  8. Johnny, you said you were going to find the numbers to support this allegation. Where are those stats in anything you've linked? The first link had our gdp to debt. The second link has the Greece numbers; their gdp to debt.
  9. Maybe the SSA site is lying about the social security fund going broke. The simple fact is that we as a nation are going broke. Those projections of the SSA Trust Fund lasting until 2040 or so is nothing more than an optimistic guess. If baby boomers start retiring en masse and demanding full benefits the ssa could go bankrupt much faster. On top of that we can not afford our federal budget as is. We borrow billions from China each year and the federal reserve prints money to cover the remaining gap like we're playing a game of Monopoly. And yet we have politicans who want to spend even more money on an even more bloated federal budget. The left seems to think that we can spend our way out of debt. Oh, boy. We've got a full fledged emergency on our hands. Actually yes we do. Well it's not an emergency yet but the hurricane warnings are out and the wind and rain is starting to get heavier. Yeah . . . what are we going to do in a score and four when pay outs are only 75% of current numbers? Better don that slicker. What?!?
  10. Most teachers I know don't agree with No Child left behind because it is very unrealistic. But if you ask them it isn't the most damaging, the most damaging are the parents to our nation's schools. If you look at any child you will be able to predict the outcome very accurately based on the child's home life. Those parents who take an interest in their child's education tend to flourish, those who are left to their own devices flounder. Those children who are neglected and come to school dirty and hungry; very seldom do you see them succeed. Those children who are verbally/physically abused or see their parents shoot drugs rarely care about school. They much bigger worries in their lives. Parents from what I have heard are the biggest indicator of success or failure of a student. That's really nice, Johnny. We're talking about the damage that government has caused to schools, though. Thanks, Knapplcy, but your both wrong then govt. damaged schools by NCLB but the left just throwing money at some schools are not the answer either. Neither party has a clue how to fix the schools and that is why they are just crumbling before our eyes. Ok, Knapplcy, you guys can go back to your little spat. I am enjoying the comedy!!

  14. You need to findyourself better entertainment!!
  15. Why did Coach Brown say, when asked to give his name and address, "Coach Ron Brown, One Memorial Drive?" Why didn't he just say he was Ron Brown, who lives at his actual home address? Why do you think he said that, Johnny? I don't know, do you? Can you get into other people's heads and know why they do something? If you can you should take your act on the road, knapplcy!!
  16. Your opinion is that creating a hostile work environment is not enough to fire someone. Decades of case law disagree with you, but *I* am the one who doesn't get it. OK. You are assuming now that Ron Brown and his beliefs are a hostile work environment. Simply believing in something is now a case for being fired in your opinion? Sieg Heil Nowhere have I said that Ron Brown created a hostile environment, or that he should be fired. And Ron Brown didn't "simply believe in something" in this instance. He gave an unsolicited public statement against gays and cited his HOME ADDRESS as 1 Memorial Stadium, wrapping himself in the flag of UNL to espouse something that UNL most definitely does not stand for. So if I say I live somewhere there is where he crossed the threshold? He can believe something just not live anywhere?
  17. Here are some numbers. I know you won't like the Ryan plan but look at the numbers on debt to GDP. Look at the amount of interest each person owes as of right now. Check out the 1:30 mark and see how the debt balloons with the BO budget. And notice what a hypocryte oBUma is, listen at the 2:20 mark. Hope that helps, look at the numbers and try not to be the usual lefty. http://video.foxbusiness.com/v/1521206157001/the-ryan-budget-vs-the-obama-budget
  18. That's a brilliant idea. I am glad that I made your day!!
  19. Totally not fibbing. I so wish I could remember that thing I once read or saw or heard, or any of the numbers, but man, it was really clear that we're screwed. I can't support that statement in any way, but really - just believe me. Ah now I see you a silly guy. I guess My memory has let me down and now you can act out your sophomoric skit, good one. I will find the numbers and you can paly your little game some more.

Not very good I think you may be fibbing, however, I am not. In about three years there will be economic problems like you have never seen. People who never think anything bad can happen to them have your cavalier attitude, good luck with that.
