  1. Exactly! The remaining games are all winnable. With each game comes the chance to win. Don't give up. Would you want the players to?? The season isn't over folks!!
  2. sarcasm noted Dave. for the panic ridden: I dunno folks. I am certainly not a "homer". I certainly don't want to repeat all the game breakdowns posted on these boards. BUT... just the 3 losses then: TT- one of the most proliffic offenses in America BARELY gets out of Lincoln with a win. MU- BS (tied with Leinart at the time in TDs) has a RECORD day to beat NU at home. OU- with their HEISMAN Runner-up, gets the win with an interception-run back as the margin of victory. This team is not that bad. Winning out is possible. Going to a bowl game is certain. IMPROVING OVER LAST YEAR IS ALREADY DONE. JMO... I could be wrong.
  3. NU wins at home! OU goes down to the huskers.
  4. You are right. 5-2 is fine and 9-2 is still possible. 8-3 is very likely. NU beats OU on saturday.
  5. One decent season, with a piece of the north championship, does NOT a great team make! The clones have a long way to go! IF they get lucky tomorrow and beat NU, it will just be another small step towards a decent program. NU 13 ISU 10. Good luck to both teams and players tomorrow!!
  6. sounds familiar. Good luck to both teams tomorrow! I'm hoping none of the kids get hurt seriously.
  7. IN MY OPINION. I consider "giving" a game away: coughing up turnovers (fumbles, interceptions), dropping passes, penalties (especially bonehead ones) and uncharacteristically poor play. It's the same definition that you apply when NU loses. Look around these boards, you'll see that NU never gets beaten, they GIVE it away. Yeah, I know, ISU always plays bad! But when they play at LINCOLN they play worse! Again, like you folks, I can only opine. The games haven't been played yet. BTW, history is wonderful. But it doesn't win games. Ask PITT, 15-6-3 against NU. You have a long way to go to even that series. ISU is 2 for 3 in the last three years vs NU. You need this one to even it out. Sadly, college athletics is about "what have you done for me lately".
  8. NU 13 ISU 10 nu passing 90 nu rushing 190
  9. ISU vs ARMY is tonight at 7pm on ESPN2. Clones on the road, dunno..... they might win.
  10. 1st......ISU is not the defending Big East Champs (neither is NU). ISU is the defending north co-champ 2nd.....ISU is coached by Dan McCarney...a loser and known drunk....Not Wanstedt (matter of opinion, you are entitled to yours) 3rd......ISU does not have a QB as good as Palko (neither does NU). Meyer is better (runs AND throws) 4th......The Clones don't have the Blackshirts. (don't need 'em) ISU can score points. 5th..... The clones beat NU last year, and are coming off a WINNING season. It'll be an interesting game. If the clones don't SELF-DESTRUCT, they win. Luckily for NU, the clones always GIVE the game away in Lincoln. NU won't earn it, it'll be given to them. NU 13 ISU 10
  11. Actually, there is nothing wrong with pounding a divI-AA as expected. That would be a win-win situation. Literally.
  12. One offensive TD against Maine does not bode well. No spin will change that.
