Although I am not a believer, I have no problem with this. When the Christians start flying aircraft into sky-scrappers or perform honor killings on their teenage daughters because they wear tight jeans and eye shadow, then get back to me and I might have a problem.

Good post Yos, and it's nice to see you again. While I would agree that we have hundreds of contingencies for the use of battlefield nukes that would be known by officers to the MSgt level, but what is going on in Iran is not worth the potential blowback. And no way in heck do we launch a surface to surface missile. My post was in reply to the person who said that the US Army had no nukes.

I find it interesting that these anarchists, Marxists, and insane and/or homeless people have suddenly developed a great love and deep respect for the US military - particularly US Marine veterans. I'm not sure why an injury to war veteran is more tragic than one involving a trust-fund 20-something, But that's just me. I suspect that these same protesters wouldn't urinate on an active duty Marine if he were on fire. Now, having said that, I am also trying to figure out why anyone is surprised that the Oakland PD used tear gas against what they saw as a dangerous crowd. When you decide to get involved in a riot, bad things can happen on either side of the skirmish line. As Poor Richard said, "When you lie down with dogs, you get up with fleas." Or a cracked skull.

Oh, better and better. This supreme insider was a master sergeant? Are you kidding me? A master sergeant from the Army no less . . . knows about a super-secret US nuclear strategy? First, the Army doesn't have nukes. Secondly, this guy doesn't know a damn thing about US nuclear strategy. Third, stop and think about this stuff before posting. I don't know how to interact with people who are completely incapable of evaluating information. I believe the US Army retired all of the nuclear artillery weapons in the early 1990s, but I I was unaware that they had retired all of the US nuke-tipped SSMs. Secondly, having been involved in some NUWEP planning myself, the idea of a senior enlisted man having access to various oplans is not all that unusual, particularly with the overall reduction of officers in the military services. Very often, MSgts are doing the work preciously performed by Captains in today's Air Force. BTW, I stopped and thought about this "stuff" before I posted.

I used to hunt just ENE of York...north of Utica. Both dove and waterfowl. Farmers pretty good about giving permission to hunt.

With the President's polling numbers in the tank and the economic outlook being grim for the next twelve months, there are some who believe Charlie Sheen could win heading up the Republican ticket. I am not one of those people. I do however think he'd do good as a Veep...the bar for Veep having been set pretty low.
