OK. But seriously:
3. The freshman class Miles hailed as the hope of the program is good. Not great. Just good. Is there a future NBA player there? Probably not. This class was supposed to produce difference-makers. They look more like solid starters and role players. The past few games, they’ve been mostly invisible.
10. Nebraska needs a big man.Seriously now. If Miles doesn’t find a serviceable 6-8, 6-9 guy (better than Jake Hammond or Moses Abraham), it doesn’t matter who else he recruits. Does. Not. Matter. He’ll eventually get fired. He surely knows it.
There are a few nice pieces here, but trying to make this roster look good without a big man is like trying to salvage your appearance with a big, ol’ zit on your forehead. A new sweater and a splash of cologne only goes so far.
In the past 50 years of Nebraska basketball, only one coach has recorded back-to-back losing seasons. Barry Collier had three straight (2001-03). Tim Miles, barring a surprising postseason surge, will do it, too.
It’s time for this roller coaster to climb. -

Riley seemed to have Terrell Newby and Devine Ozigbo on one tier, with Mikale Wilbon and Adam Taylor on that next tier. Riley said Wilbon should be "in the mix" athletically, while the coaches are intrigued to see what Taylor can do now that he's fully recovered from a devastating leg injury suffered in fall camp 2014. If you read between the lines, Wilbon's opportunity is clearly upon him. At fullback, Harrison Jordan will get the first look, with perhaps Graham Nabity mixing in. Nabity is a good runner who will need to transition to blocking.

Nebraska will be working on two different fields with a top group and a secondary group. Tommy Armstrong and Ryker Fyfe will be with the top group, while A.J. Bush, Zack Darlington and Patrick O'Brien will be with the second group. Armstrong and Fyfe are the only two quarterbacks in Nebraska's program to take meaningful snaps in a college football game.

No surprise that Bando, MRI and Young are the top group.
Newby, Gifford and Weber are the #2s
Ferguson, Barry and Brad Simpson are the 3s.

Positions where players will start out this spring:
LT - Gates, Hahn, Johnson
LG - Foster, Barnett
C - Utter, Thurston, Decker, Hannon
RG - Farmer, Whitaker
RT - Knevel, Gaylord, Conrad

That is not a huge difference that is all of a sudden going to make us a championship team.
Now, do that and not turn the ball over constantly and we would have a pretty dang good offense. Couple that with a great defense and...now we're talking.
No, it's not a large difference.
But it's pretty interesting considering how many people try to claim that we don't have a good enough offensive line or an elite RB to be able to run the ball.
