That one is really the key point here: Judge Berman wasn’t ruling on whether Brady was involved with or “generally aware” of deflated footballs. He was judging the legality of the NFL’s investigatory and disciplinary procedures...
People love to make Goodell out to be some villian, but lets not act like this isn't more systemic cheating by the Patriots organization. Unfortunately, the NFL's policies were not sound enough to catch them again.

I am sure the excitement of Oregon wanting him is huge! Time will tell with how Riley operates the offense this year. The good news is that we have a pretty solid commit in POB. I know Oregon has the kid from MN/Texas as a commit as well...Wilson would be able to beat him out from what I saw the last two years of playing him here in MN.
Best of luck to him either way!
That kid didn't win the starting job at his high school in Texas so Oregon is looking for other options.

He said he's probably not going to flip on his visit. Said he'll probably take a couple days to think about it.
That being said, it won't surprise me if he flips while he's there. By next Wednesday, it'll be "[Oregon Commit]" on this thread.

I am hoping they (CB's) play like Sanders had them. Aggressive at the line. IIRC, Sanders philosophy was knock them down at the LOS, drive them out of bounds or simply jam them off their routes. Either way, hard to catch passes. Since Sanders left, it seemed we gave way too much cushion and no longer played physical.
With Hill being a runner, the key is pressure and not let him run around in the backfield. Regardless of DB talent level, no one can cover for an extended period of time. Hit him and pressure him and any QB starts to get gun shy.
I'm fairly certain that we will be less aggressive at the line. The corners are basically "on an island" now with much less safety help over the top. Thus, if they get beat off the line, it's likely a touchdown. So I'm guessing we'll play back a little more and try to keep things in front of us.

So Fake Mike Riley (@MyKriley) just set up a Twitter account. His first follow and follower was FauxPelini and Faux has been retweeting MyKriley's posts. 99% sure it's the same guy if any of you feel like following.

2 Mickey Joseph
Wasn't it Joseph that got tackled at the one yard line and then pushed the ball across the line? Refs couldn't see it in the pile but when they got there the ball was across so they gave him the TD.

ever? or for BYU?
For sure not this weekend. And considering this is the weekend his teammate is visiting, I'd guess ever.

Crystal Ball now 100% Oregon (10/10).

Johnson Jr. and Gebbia not going to be here after all.

Couldn't get flights.

Not going to be here.

I'll be interested to keep an eye on this on Saturday - and perhaps all season. I like the idea if you have a lock-down corner. I'm not sure it makes as much difference if your guys are pretty even.
Davie really came on last year and had a great season. I'd like to think Kalu, Rose and whoever else might play the other spot are basically on the same level. Really want to see what Kalu can do with more playing time.

Nebraska coaches have indicated to senior cornerback Daniel Davie that he’ll likely match up against the opponent’s top receiver all season long. His first test comes Saturday.
BYU’s Mitch Mathews is a 6-foot-6 senior who caught a team-high 73 passes last season. Nine of those receptions went for touchdowns. It’s unclear if Davie will actually end up isolated on Mathews for the entire game Saturday. Davie said spent much of the time in practice lining up on the strong-side of the offensive formation. -

Apparently neither are Iowa fans....

I feel like this thread has brought out the worst in both fanbases.
Never would have thought so back in March when i started it.
But it's still impressive that we have a 29-page thread about a team that we still won't play for three days.

1. OSU 13-0 (VT due to suspensions, MSU & PSU both at the shoe are only games that have me nervous, OSU has been known to lay an egg at home about once a year)
2. TCU 12-0 (two tough games on schedule - OU & Baylor, should handle everyone else easily)
3. Stanford 12-1
4. Michigan State - close loss to OSU and two loss SEC, ACC champs get them in
SEC - too much parity will lead to 2 losses for Bama, Auburn, LSU + UGa will lose a game they shouldn't. Bama has two tough cross over games in UGa & rising Tenn. I only see LSU possibly getting out with 1 loss.
Would love to see this but I don't think it'll be Stanford out of the Pac-12. Running out of steam from the Harbaugh/Luck years.
