1. HuskerBoard. You get that at HuskerBoard. We're the sane, logical filter through which local and national press coverage becomes understandable. They produce it, we analyze it, comment on it and make it into what it really needs to be. C'mon, rookie. Get your head in the game. I don't listen or read half the stuff Sipple does do. Not because I don't like the guy, but because I don't believe in a guy who admittedly tried to talk to a wax figurine once, LOL.
 2. How is he wrong? Forde is pretty well respected, if I'm not mistaken. He shunned the four letter network a while back to work with Yahoo, and backed up Bruce Feldman when he got slammed by TexPN. Anybody who is willing to stick to their principles that way against TexPN is a +1 in my book right away. That being said... He ain't lyin. Winning games, titles and nattys gives you a certain capital that isn't bottomless, but it's pretty damn forgiving. Unless your name is Jim Tressel, and TexPN got it out for you anyways.
 3. Firing Solich was more than questionable. Not because of the on the field stuff, but because of the sleezeball AD that came in here, along with the fact that Frank is one of the more well respected elder heads in CFB. Firing Bo at this point is almost a given - if he doesn't show people that he's trying to change some things (staff moves). He's abrasive towards fans and his own leadership, seems to have a problem with self-disipline (which filters down to players), and his hires don't seem to be working well. Sometimes, one or two changes in the staff can make the staff gel differently. When Bo lost Marvin Sanders and Carl, it was the beginning of the end for him (if he indeed goes).
 4. 1. Yes. But only if a staff change is made at this time. Offensively, they've been up and down the entire 6 years he's been here. He needs to turn the reins over to an offensive coordinator that knows more about that side of the ball than, quite frankly, he does. 2. Not too sure. But - Eichhorst is the same guy who hired Al Golden down at the U, and they've climbed back into the land of relativity after their years of medocrity. 3. Modernizing is quite necessary. Look at Baylor. They've switched up their image, got a guy who they knew knows the game, and the patience has paid off both on and off the field. Heisman trophy winner, was in the NC hunt this year until a couple weeks ago. Why do places like Oregon and Baylor do so well? Because they know that flashy on the field sells. That being said - a bunch of the fan base around here would never go for those kinds of wholesale changes.
 5. What kind of logic are you trying to employ, my friend? LOL When you LOSE the championship game, there isn't a booby prize. 2nd place means 1st place loser.
 6. And last year Bo won a share of the Big Ten (since Big 12 doesn't have a title game, Nebraska would be considered a co-winner last year on that standard). No we didn't win a share of anything. We won the Legends division. We lost the game to win the conference championship by a score of 70-31. Wisconsin won the Big Ten Championship. Plain and simple. You're grasping at straws here. False Junior. My logic is just fine with that argument. Oklahoma was a co-winner. If the Big Ten did not have a championship game (a la Big 12), Nebraska and Wisconsin would have been co-winners. Nope. If we didn't have a championship game NU would have won it outright. How you missed that one for your argument, I have no idea. However, we do have one and we got waxed by 40. When's the last time Bob Stoops lost by 40? Not sure if he's ever lost by 40, but he did get 29 hung on him a few weeks ago by the Ducks of the Dirty South. EDIT: He did get beat down by Pete Carroll and USC in 2005 in the Orange Bowl, 55-19.
 7. Maybe you'd like years of stupid questions? I sure as he'll wouldn't and love how Bo responds. I mean how many times are they going to ask the same questions? It's. Part. Of. The. Job. Maybe he should have responded like this:
 8. Don't kid yourself.. Lack of money for a buyout ain't keeping Bo here. In hindsight, it just appears the higher ups were giving Bo the rope to hang himself. I just don't think anyone expected Bo to weave the rope, tie the noose, throw it over the second deck of the lounge in North Stadium and kick the chair out. Like I said...pure speculation. You gotta admit, it's been a weird day. Sure seems like something toxic is going on between the staff and the admin. Hey, how did you feel after the two interceptions? Could you do me a favor and have all your friends call the ESPN sportstalk shows with the answer to that? Can't wait for Bill King on Wednesday, lol.
 9. Maybe they've saved 50 million dollars to pay Nick Saban 8 - 10 millie a year?
 10. You know, this is a good perspective. Sometimes the guy that comes in isn't going to be the guy that is THE GUY.
 11. Bo, as a head coach, has lost games since UNL has been in the B1G by an average of 20 points per game. My point...stop b***hin about the refs. Oh. Because I wasn't aware of our losses? Thanks. Real eye opening stuff. No - but it seems like you're more trolling the refs instead of getting back to the real issues. Refs are part of the game, and they're human as well. The ref that flagged Bo - human reaction to what was probably happening all game. Guy got fed up with lunatic head coach screaming at him, and he flagged the guy. Notice Bo didn't blow up after that...LOL Instead of people whining about the refs, whine about the product being displayed on the field. Cause that guy is getting 3 millie a year for that.

 14. Robert Wadlow couldn't have caught that ball. Right......because he was being tackled by our defensive back. It wasn't a bad call. If Bo is going to start using expletives and losing his sh#t over officiating, pick something better to meltdown about. You're right, it wasn't a bad call. But the call that we didn't get in the first half certainly falls under the same category as that call. Folks...let's stop worrying about the refs. Any time you argue a call with the refs, you're subject to the ref's call. All in all, however, should any call by the ref be a factor in this game? The refs didn't turn the ball over 3 times. The refs didn't get act like an arse on the sideline and cost his team 15 more yards. The refs didn't call a fake punt that was woefully executed. The refs didn't have 89 yards rushing in the game. The refs didn't put themselves into the position of having to win to save jobs. This is alllllll on the coaching staff, my friends. Bo said, "Let's call a spade a spade...." Let's do that for a second... All you need to do is listen to the press conference after this game. All you need to do is watch the offensive playcalling on the field. Poor RKIII was getting BLASTED back there...on senior day. All you need to do is look at the losses since he got into the B1G: The average point differencial in wins and losses since being in the B1G is right around 20 points. Meaning that when he loses, he's losing BIG (or B1G, LOL).
 15.

I see what you're trying to say here, but please don't attempt parallels between Pelini and Dr. Tom. It's a tad disrespectful.

Not meant to be disrespectful in any way. Since many fans compare Pelini's attitude to T.O's, I believe it is fair to point out the similarities in other aspects as well. I don't recall hearing any players in Callahan's days being as loyal to him... and certainly not to the level that these coaches have seen.

Never heard that before. Ever. I've heard Pelini more compared to Bob Devaney, not Doc Tom.

As far as Cally's players being loyal to him...there was this one...

Now, for what it's worth...Slauson did also say that he felt as if he were a "side of beef" who was "used and abused" in a football-as-a-business culture that took root during the Callahan era at Nebraska...

 16. What game were you watching? That ball didn't even land inbounds,
 17. But you are not a public figure and the highest paid employee of the state who represents the state and the university It's irrelevant anyways. If we were any other program this wouldn't be that big of a deal, but no, we keep pursuing this hilarious idea that we need to remain the "class acts of football", well, it may have worked a while ago, but nice guys don't win anymore. So are you saying that if any other coach in football got an unsportsmanlike, was a jerk to the sideline guy and called a call "chicken sh#t" in the span of 3 hrs it wouldn't be all over? I would disagree, I think it would be just as prevalent if Saban or urban or anyone did it I disagree. And then there's Les Miles...LOLZ There's only one Les Miles! LOLZ
 18. Shouldn't Beck get the credit for Helu, and some (most) of the credit for Burkhead, if that's how you're going to play it? Why there is such a lack of depth with such perceived talent and so many fumbles, is what I want to know. And why is it a guarantee our punt returner will be awful, no matter who we put back there? Roy Helu was a Callahan recruit, if I'm not mistaken.
 19. Maybe, I could see one more year. But I can't see this entire staff escaping the offseason unscathed at this point.
 20. You are sick of a former player that is level-headed and calls it like it is? There are people who think Jason Peter calls it like it is. And there are people sick of Jason Peter. Opinions vary. Personally, I think that a former player like Tommie can say whatever the hell he wants to. He's an alum, as well as a hall of famer that loves the school he played for.
 21. Aint a team in the country that doesn't deal with injuries. Hell, Missury lost James Franklin for most of the year and they didn't miss a beat. Buckeyes lost their starting QB for a quarter of the season and they're still undefeated.
 22. This is the full quote for Pelini in the presser guys. Tired of people picking out only one or two sentences to make things seem a lot worse than they are. I agree with him...Ferentz went off more than he did with less cause. He can whine about that all he wants to. Difference is, Ferentz is a 3 time COY in the conference and has been to a BCS bowl game. Bo doesn't have any capital in the bank to get away with stupidity right now.
 23. Here's one man's take on this... Bo lost me after the audio leaked out. I was already leaning away from him, but that solidified my decision. It wasn't the fact that he went off on the fans. It wasn't the fact that he used foul language (come on, he's a football coach, LOL). It wasn't the fact that he's animated on the sidelines, or any of that. All of that I can forgive, excuse, and even understand. We as fans are fickle at times. But what lost me with Bo was the one comment he made in that audio that sums up the post-game presser today - and it came back out (not surprising). He made the comment, "Wait till I'm gone, then we'll see where they're at." (para). That, ultimately, will seal his fate here, one way or the other. Is he a frustrated man? Yep, anybody can see that. Is he being unfairly treated? Of course, but it's part of the job as the 3 million dollar a year guy. Are many of the issues on the field due to execution, preparation, and injury? Stevie Wonder could see, yes, it is. BUT When you put yourself out there by saying basically that Nebraska is nothing without Mark Pelini....and that it's nothing unless you're here....you've driven the final nail in your own coffin with me. Husker football been around for an entire century. Good times, bad times, lean times, strong times....it's been here. One man does not make a tradition. Those five nattys in the trophy case say other wise. I liken it to something my Pastor says all the time about unruly church leadership that doesn't follow instruction of those who have appointed them leaders: "If you think that the church won't go on without you...mess around and pass away. We'll wheel you down in your coffin...put roses on your coffin...shut that thing, have a funeral. We'll take you down to the cemetary, put you six feet under....throw the dirt on your grave and say Ashes to Ashes, dust to dust. Then, life will continue on WITHOUT you." If Coach Pelini things we're better off without him, maybe we are. Maybe he'd be better off without us as well. But something HAS GOT to be done at this point.
 24. Apparently, he had to one up himself from this interview by going off in the post game, LOLZ
 25. Nebraska has a scholarship QB who turned the ball over 3 times today. Texas Tech has a walk on freshman and Baylor is down two scores now.
