I remember Verduzco talking about how it is very important for his quarterbacks to process information quickly, I think that is critical for this offense to flow. I dont think that is happening right now for Martinez.

    Noooooooope.

Your original comment was a bit elitist/condescending. You have to understand that Husker Nation is pretty big; it's in all 50 states. This is an internet message board and so you've got a lot of people outside of Nebraska that post here.

Yes I am aware. I have lived in AZ for 27 years. I believe we have season ticket holders in every state except Delaware or something. Quite a stat.

The comment where I said it doesn’t make you a better fan whether you go to games or not was condescending?

Actually it seems the most patient people are the most reasonable and realistic fans and also the least likely to be douchebags that somehow think the number of games they go to or the amount of money they spend has jacksh#t to do with what kind of fan they are.

You should go to some games, bro. You seem very uptight.

So what you are saying is, not only does Mike Riley suck, but he sucks so bad that whenever he leaves a place, it is left beyond repair.

He trashed Nebraska so badly that a great coach like Scott Frost can't fix it.

He trashed Oregon State so badly that a good coach like Gary Anderson couldn't fix it.

He trashed  the San Diego Chargers so badly that a good coach like Marty Schottenheimer went 12-20 his first two years afterward.

The first time Riley left Oregon State...Dennis Erickson is the only coach in the world who was able to have success following Riley.

So in other words, @ZRod wants NU to hire Dennis Erickson.

1000% yes, Mike Riley sucks and he sucks bad. This cannot be overstated.

Why does it matter?  If i go to 13 or none?

Does it make me any less of a fan?

It seems that the most patient people are the ones who invest very little money with the program. Doesn’t mean you are less of a fan, just less invested I suppose.

Well, those that are sick of "tomorrow" can probably find a comfy spot on the bandwagon of the current flavor of the week...

I'm happy with what we have, and optimistic to see where it'll go

Just out of curiosity, how many games do you go to per year?

Not an excuse for the loss but it is harder to make adjustments for the second half when you're winning 17-0.

Good point.  But no apparent in-game adjustments either after 17-14.  I wanted this game more than any on the schedule this year.

It's funny, because this Colorado game reminded me of Bo's 2012 team losing to UCLA in Pasadena in the second game of the season.

I was at that game too. Not too many road victories the past 10 years.

The most frustrating thing is the disconnect that is pretty evident between the players and coaches on the field.

Up 17-0 at the start of the half, we played predictable keep away until Colorado adjusted and knocked on the door. Then we opened it up with a handful of nice playcalls and answered a couple of their scores.

The fourth and OT it’s like we forgot that the other team made adjustments and thought what worked once will always work and paid the price.

The coaches have lacked halftime adjustments and that is the biggest thing IMHO. Execution is not lacking, it’s where we are positioned and when we switch into play conservatively vs. go finish a team off.

    I really agree with this...

  11. I was there, practically standing on the NU bench.  This game felt very 80s OU to me in the 2nd half...not Sooner magic but Buff magic. I knew with that flea flicker it was probably over.  Not because we weren't capable but because SO many times over the years we just collapse and deflate instead of fighting back. They just completely stole the game and we helplessly watched them do it.  Gut punch of the decade.

A full team no. But the media always mentions how quickly he turned over the roster. Is a guy recruited by riley automatically bad as well? A lot of these guys have had just as much time with this staff as the other. It shouldn't take a coach as qualified as we all think frost is 4 classes to spank bad sun belt teams and not piss away two games to Colorado.

Ab-so-freaking-lutely!  I agree 100%. (I am still all in on SF). I thought he learned some hard lessons last year. I imagine this will sting much more for him and be a catalyst for better things to come.

The Curse of Black Friday. Been saying it for years. Since Black Friday, 2001, Nebraska has been utterly irrelevant in college football. The Curse came full circle to present it's ugly face in Boulder, once again, nearly 18 years later.

People said I was crazy. 'We aren't cursed! Pelini just has to get the right guys! Pelini just needs to replace Papuchis! There's no curse, that's crazy talk!'

No, there is a curse. The Curse of Black Friday.

14-37, 10-40, Barney Cotton (the Real Big Red), Lord INT vs texas, Steve Pederson, Bill Callahan, Southern Miss, 10-70, O'Hanlon brain fart vs VT, Kunalic kickoff out of bounds, :01, 13-20 (crazy drops in that game), TMart hurt, 6-9, 17-20 after leading 17-0 (familiar),  31-70, 408, Eichorst, Riley, 45-55 to pitiful Purdue, 3-62, 10-40, All of 2017, 0-6 to start 2018, now. This is the tip of the iceberg.

You're thinking 'The Curse of Black Friday isn't a thing. Stop trying to make it a thing.'

Oh, but it is. The worst part is I'm not sure how or when it'll be broken; what will need to be done to appease the Football Gods so they will lift this dreadful curse...

Where was the curse on Alex Henry’s field goal against CU? Or Suh’s INT? No curse.
