And you are free to cheer for any other team, however don’t jump back on the bandwagon once it’s turned around. This is going to take time. If you don’t understand that, you don’t understand football. He inherited a s#!tshow, this will not be an overnight turn around. Be patient, bide your time and smile knowingly at the losses knowing that the future is bright. This is rock bottom. Ask any addict, need to hit rock bottom before recovery occurs. There are literally over 100 other teams to be a fan of, move on if necessary

Dude... this is clearly an Iowa fan trolling.

  2. Two cents from a random guy....me....

is the culture of the previous administration to blame for this start? Yes.

is the current coaching staff to blame for this starts? Yes.

Are the weird circumstances that have swirled around the beginning of the season to blame? Yes

It is NOT one or the other. This is not happening in a vacuum where everything is black and white. All parties are at fault. Blaming only Riley and the talent on hand is a pulling the wool over your eyes.

Blaming Frost and coaches is not the whole story either.

IMHO I think the both have contributed almost equally. But this is Frosts program and he owns the losses regardless of what happened with the previous coaching staff. And if Frost and Co. are the actual developers of talent and schemers around deficient talent like they were billed to be at UCF then they should be able to do that here. This team Hs regressed in the last 3 weeks.

But here is why I’m optimistic. I think the offense has lost all sense of continuity. This is an offense dependent on timing. They have had a rainout, almost a full game with their TrueFrosh QB, then a game with a walk on who is just doing his best but not clearly a fit, and then a game against a top caliber D where the Offense has had no base to build on.

The offense will get better. The offense getting better will give the D a break. Frost and Co. are learning big boy football every week.  Not like at UCF where there were breathers in the schedule.

i think a combination of ALL three circumstances have contributed. I think they will overcome this.

    Thanks you and God Bless.

You mean like we had previous pelini recruits that were toxic?

That's always the narrative and I think it's probably less true than the narrative states it is.

That narrative is an excuse for blind loyalty.

Im not expecting to win by any means. Just to look competent.

When you have cancers in your locker room, no quantity of good coaching can overcome it.

But don't let reality stop you from complaining incessantly.

I think you’re living in an alternate reality.

thise mental errors are 100% on the coaching and not the talent

This is why off season talk means literally nothing. I see no improvement at all from last year. The wait til Frost gets his guys is such a lazy narrative. Our team is constantly pushed around and look confused and undisciplined. Play calling looks abysmal. I am just not seeing it.

I couldn’t agree more. There is a difference  between having little  talent and poor coaching. So far it has been both this season. Blaming Riley is getting old.

I am assuming Martinez is a go since he was dressed and warming up on Saturday? I haven't heard he is out vs Michigan and would imagine he is closer to playing to not playing. Unless anyone has heard different I think he plays vs Michigan.

I don't think we hear if Martinez is playing until Saturday morning. Might as well keep Michigan in the dark on who the starter is. Make Michigan prepare for both scenarios. Although preparing for Bunch isn't exactly a tall task.

  7. My buddy is a trainer for an NFL team. He said based on the mechanism of how they were testing it he knew it was MCL. Said 2-4 weeks depending on if the tear is on the femur or tibia. If the meniscus was damaged on that side then he’d be out much longer. They also could brace it and bring him back earlier but risk losing the ACL then.

If theres any weekend to play a game on Sunday this is it. Labor day weekend. Pay Akron a little more moneybto stay. Makes sense to me.

But what if Akron checked out of their hotel rooms? They won’t find a room in Lincoln tonight! No Vacancy
