  1. Jason Peter almost always says stupid things

I totally disagree! What he (JP) consistantly says is; "We simply played harder." "We wanted it more." We trained harder in the off season." We had leaders on those teams that took it upon themselves to discipline and set the tone for playing with passion." All of which are true. If we had more players like JP, we would have 13 wins each year.

  2. I had nephew who played second string LB for Mizzu. Dan Alexander got the ball on a pitch play ran right over him with out breaking a stride. When I spoke to my nephew by phone the following week, he said, "I never want to step in front of that Alexander guy again in my lifetime!" :laughpound

  3. Bo butts heads with a lot of people, so its only obvious he will with some players. May not be a bad thing, since it weeds out the "only worried about myself" people. At the same time, we can lose some talent like Green and the Mad Russian. I hope this gets resolved and we dont lose any other 4-5 star players.

Green, Klachko and Peat were all 4 star players in 2011. When a third of your best "percieved" players leave form the 2011 class, it cant be good for the future.

    Hummmmmmmm! Good point!

  4. I am surprised no one else has posted about Bo's comment about not talking to his brother in "several months" --- did they part on tough terms?

Is Carl's divorce complete yet - would that be part of the parting of ways?

    Who really cares?

  5. Kyler Reed was hurt a lot, and Jamal Turner was stinking up the joint in practice.

I understand Reed was hurt some. Word I got is that he was in the dog house. As far as Turner is concerned, they need him on the field. He is a playmaker like we have not had in a long, long time. He is a "gamer". Somehow, I find it hard to believe that he could have played so well when they first put him on the field and then, all of a sudden, he isn't practicing well. Neither one of these cases passes the smell test. We lost some good kids because they saw the writing on the wall as far as their playing time goes. I would hate to have Turner leave. He can be a huge asset.

Ah yes, the mysterious dog house again. Don't suppose you'd mind sharing where this word came from? Or why he was placed in said dog house?

Turner admitted he was sucking it up. Maybe he's lying to cover up his own dog house conspiracy, or maybe he just needed to step it up a bit.

Yes, I have a friend whose grandson is a student trainer at NU. Sometimes he works with the FB program but most time with other sports.

Why was Reed in the dog house?

    I have no idea!

Whatever the case, those two need to be on the field. It is as simple as that.

  9. Frank Solich was fired by possibly the worst AD in the history of athletics. I cannot express that enough, the very worst AD ever. He (Solich) needed more time to prove himself. Hard to come into a situation where we dominated college football in the 1990s and think that it would continue in the next decade. Honestly, he got a raw deal. For what Solich did for Nebraska football during his lifetime, and getting sh!t on by Petedoushbag, I think Nebraska owes him an apologhy.

  10. No matter how you try to spin it this hurts the team. Aaron Green was having a HUGE spring from what I've been told. If this team is gravitating toward a more power type of rushing attack, then I can't see how Ameer Abdullah works into things either. Green was very talented and will now join the list of extremely talented Huskers that have either transferred or never been given an opportunity. Good luck to the young man. He will stand out wherever he goes and it will prove to be a big loss for us. I knew we should not have moved Heard away from RB.........

I honestly didn't think he was any more talented than Heard or Abdullah. Not worth the 5 star rating, that's for sure.

I agree with this, I wasn't all that impressed with his carries last year. It seemed like he spent a lot of time fooling around instead of trying to get the ball up the field, and he seemed amazingly small for a college player. It might have just been me, but I would have liked to see him take a redshirt, although if what's been said about his impatience is true there was no chance of that.

It is not the size of the dog in the fight, it is the size of the fight in the dog! That holds true for running backs also. If Green did not have the fight in himself to meet the competition, then he is better off somewhere else.
